He is showing the dangers of society slipping from their efforts at maintaining social harmony. What he envisions, to me is social harmony - and Singapore still is evolving to get there, as we are currently more tolerating than being in total harmony. having said that, i feel it is a process..an ongoing process as our society develops shared understanding and values that guide our action. Once in a while, there will be cracks, in different generations, at different times, and these conversations are necessary.
