Johnny is one of the characters and his friends with the main character Ponyboy. Johnny is a small boy who has black eyes jet black hair. Johnny is a timid because of what happened a few months ago when Johnny got badly beaten by a group of Socs. But johnny is sometimes able to be less timid and stand up for people and save them.

The outsiders talk place in a town in Oklahoma in the mid 1900's  they also have a drive in their town that ponyboy and his friends and family live in.

Johnnys relationship with the Greasers was like they were his real famliy and they cared for eachother.
