9/1 I can explain how the environment impacts where people live

The environment greatly impacts where people live. This is because if an area is too hot or too cold, it will be inhabitable because soil would be too dry/hard to grow anything and because it would take a lot more work to stay alive and to keep your body temperature at the right temperature. Also solid ground is greatly needed. Solid ground is important so you can be able to have a shelter and be able to have warmth to survive. This is why people usually live in more mild climates.

Humans modify and depend on the land in a few different ways. One way is that they modify the land to prevent flooding and to try to prevent tsunamis and hurricanes. They do this by creating a polder(an area of land that is made by draining the water from an area), levee, dike, seawall, canal, and/or pumps. Humans depend on the land for making their food and things that they need to profit from such as, cows, wheat, rice, sheep, etc. Humans have modified the land to better suit them by figuring out which crops and animals do best in certain climates which will help them grow better food and keep their animals much healthier.

Humans modify their environment. One way is the we make dams to control the water flow in rivers, gulfs, and even streams. We do this so that we are less like to get floods when/if the body of water would overflow or even if the water rises greatly. Humans depend on the land for many things. One of the things being food. We depend on the land for our food sources; some of our food sources that greatly depend on the land are livestock(sheep, cows, etc), plants(for medicine, herbs, and food), and even places to build housing provinces. If the land does not suit any of the needs well, we will have extreme difficulties living there. Humans also depend on adapting to the land to survive. We adapt to the land by making and using air conditioning, fans, heaters, and even fires are all adaptations to help us survive and thrive more comfortably.

Sustainability is the use of our resources in ways that do not constrain or greatly affect people in the future. This affects population because if the population goes up a ton more, it will be difficult to continue sustainability because we will need more food and houses to attempt to keep the population solid and for everyone to have shelter and food. We will need to cut down more trees, use more fossil fuels, etc; which will make our resource count decrease greatly which will make it more difficult to continue to reserve our resources for the future generations.

Population pyramids distinguish the population of different countries. It distinguishes them by age group, gender, and amount of people there are in that category. Industrialization and education impact the growth rates because if the industrialization is advanced, there will be more and better medicine, so people will live much longer. If the education is advanced, people will be able to receive better education, which will help them get better jobs, but will slow down the birth rate because the people will want to focus more on their job, at least at first, and not really worry about children.
