The tone of the comic was verydark and intense. It was filled with anger, vengeance, and a sense of hopelessness as the Hulk sought revenge on those who wronged him. There are multiple instances where the reader (myself) could feel those same emotions just reading the dialogue. For example, the scene where the hulk is fighting finds out what really happened to his planet was powerful as he showed raw emotion and unleashed his full rage.

The mood throughout the comic was very grim and unsettling, with a feeling of upcoming doom hanging over every page. With every turn of a page, I felt more anxious and on edge, wondering what would happen next. Which characters would survive and who would meet their demise in the Hulk's blind rage. Scenes like when Dr. Strange tried to talk to Hulk added to the tension, as it seemed like a pointless attempt to calm the angry beast.

Although the story travels from location to location, there was one setting that stood out to me. During the final battle, there was a comic panel showing the hulk standing in a destroyed city. I feel like this final scene showed how chaotic the Hulk's journey had become. There were some scenes where you would see the hulk in a peaceful land, like when Dr. Strange got into the hulk's head when the military general was trying to take him down. Then, on the other hand, you have scenes where the hulk is fighting the heroes, and you just see him completely destroying everything in his path. Scenes like this show how the setting of the story is ever-changing, reflecting the mental struggle of the Hulk .

Characteristics of One Character

One character that I'd choose to describe his personality, motivations, and role in the story would definitely be The Hulk. Throughout the story, you can see how the Hulks emotions can go from peaceful to destructive in a matter of seconds. His motivations throughout the story were clear, he wanted to avenge those who had wronged him and killed the people he loved. The people he wanted to suffer in particular were the ones who exiled him from earth, which were the members of the Illuminati. Iron man, Dr. Strange, Black Bolt, and Reed Richards were all on his hit list. Overall, the role of the Hulk in the story was to showcase the rage that was caused by betrayal and loss. I think the writers wanted to point out the consequences of seeking revenge, as in the end, the hulk was captured and imprisoned.

My favorite quotes from the comic are the following:

" I didn't come here for a whisper. I wanna hear you scream"

- This quote is from when the Hulk faced Black Bolt, a superhero with the power to blow away a city with just a whisper. It showed how angry and thirsty for revenge the Hulk was.

"I'LL HATE YOU FOREVER. ALMOST AS MUCH... AS I HATE MYSELF."

- This quote is stated when the Hulk finds out who really exploded the spaceship, killing his family and his planet.

"Bear witness to his choice, children. And give thanks to your gods. And then pray for their mercy. For tonight The Hulk may sleep... But his rage will never die."

- This quote is the last thing that is said in the story. It shows how even when The Hulk seemed to be defeated, his anger and thirst for vengeance will always remain a part of him.
