-Giving students choice in readings and other school activities is the most important thing you can do as a teacher to increase motivation and engagement

-Autism and ADHD are very similar and can be seen together in many scenarios and finding ways to teach and engage these students in reading is so important

  Work on implementing aspects of my research proposal in my own classroom.

-Conducting research (especially in your own classroom) is absolutely doable and doesn't have to be something that takes away from what you're already doing day-to-day. It's easy to find methods that will fit into your classroom seamlessly.

-Reviewing literature isn't that bad and really helps to give a scope of the research you would like to conduct.

-Research questions should be specific and measurable (that also makes them easier than when they are broad)

-I'd be interested to research something more specifically about using fiction/nonfiction texts for whole class instruction.
