This is a Chinese YouTube channel that mainly focuses on daily psychology knowledge. Every video used research plus picture and dubbing to present the content. In a video talking about defense mechanisms, they didn't use a lot of proper nouns to start with, instead, they used some common words to describe it first to start with. For example one of the defense mechanism is rationalization, they use a story where someone gets a bad grade in a test but he use some excuse like he intends to do that or he didn't even try hard on it. He meets his old friend. He invite him to dinner together to hang out and talk about their experience recently. So they move on to a restaurant.
While in the restaurant and eating, he realizes that his friend has changed a lot since they last met, he became more energetic, neater, talk more positively, and everything feel different than before. So he ask him what have he been through recently, and why did he change that much. The friend answered that he had recently joined a course about psychology. In the course, it talks about how can psychology can be applied to everyone's daily life, and it is important for everyone to know psychology, it can help you overcome obstacles, encourage yourself when you're feeling down, etc... the worker asks his friend aren't psychology is something profession and can't learn to be usual people? His friend answered that is a myth for the public, the truth is psychological knowledge is everywhere in our life. He then lists some examples and convinces the worker. Then the worker's friend talks about the course is aim to increase public awareness about how easy everyone can learn about psychology and how important it is. Also added that the course is held online and willing to accept different age groups, whether you are a 15-year-old teenager or a 70-year-old elderly, as long as you are willing to learn, the course welcomes you.
After the worker listens to his friend's speech he decide to give it a try to the course and ask for more detail to apply. This is also a video about how others introduce psychology to others in English. At the first of the video, he talks about some of the histories of psychology, for example, psychology Is first started back in 2000 years ago by Chinese people, then he lists some of the common big questions asked to psychologists such as do humans have free will, what is mental illness, what is consciousness itself or the notion of self, etc... these are the question the public may interest on but actually, they can answer it after a little bit study about psychology. He then continues by introducing some of the basic concepts or important people to psychology such as Sigmund Freud, the discipline of psychology, structuralism, etc... all with photos and simple descriptions so that the audience can easily understand. In every part of his video, he keeps using energetic voices and bgm to attract audience awareness. I think this is the greatest example of how I am going to make my video and what content can attract the audience's attention, how to use background effects and how can change your voice affect the performance. This is an article talking about what can you learn from psychology, the course purposes, and learning outcomes. The article makes research on  U.S undergraduate students enrolling in the introductory psychology course. Using questionnaires to find out what they expect from the course and what they have succeeded in the course. Also tracking what path they go after the course. Research shows that about 70% of respondents have archived or learned something they expect before enrolling in the course. 82% think they are enlightened in some way for their life and the course helps their life goes better. 24% have an interest to further study in specific psychology fields. This article help me to convince the audience that learning psychology can make their life better, even if not studied too deep it can still support you in daily life.
