Opportunities:

1. China increased its card payment infrastructure more rapidly than any of the
researched markets by Euromonitor International. This is good as additional advancements in mobile POS technology has greatly reduced the cost to merchants of equipment required to accept cards and are provided with an opportunity to extend acceptance beyond urban centers.

2. Additional drivers provide more benefit with upgraded convenience. This is because

there are still ways to go in these markets before the full benefits of convenience are
realized by consumers which will in turn drive greater card use going forward.

3. International networks and issuers can benefit from this transition by investing in financial infrastructure and initiating programs designed to raise consumers’ financial
product awareness.

Opportunities:
1. Technology will be more likely to start accepting cards. This is because with reduced security concerns of card transactions, the cost of acceptance also declines for merchants reducing an additional barrier to acceptance.
2. Innovations in both online and mobile card acceptance are bringing many small and medium businesses into the card acceptance fold.

3.Mobile POS terminals are gaining traction in both emerging and developed markets assisted by telecommunication companies, issuers and card networks.

Opportunities:
1. The primary benefits of card payments over cash for consumers are convenience and security. This is good as in many emerging markets security has been the
initial driving force of card adoption due to low POS terminal penetration
among merchants but this has started to change.
2.Through the simplified card acceptance process, smaller merchants are able to reach larger customer base. In addition to the physical card acceptance, merchants looking to reach consumers online are finding it easier to accept card payments
