We go from teaching, to practice, then we apply, and we're able to comeback and discuss our thinkings with others without skipping a beat or waiting hours or days for someone to reply, or check in to see if we are doing the skill correctly. The more time I have to practice my skill when it's freshly taught helps me to retain the information better. I also like the more hands on approach, if I'm actively doing the skill. I like to work alone when I first learn something, so I can synthesize the information, and see how it applies to other things.
