In the morning, immediately after the man opened his eyes, he saw a shadow that looked like a witch. But it could’ve just been an illusion or a nightmare, couldn’t it? Definitely not, that horrible figure was the woman!

Her hair was long and black like her eyes and the frightful and awful woman, which appeared when he woke up, scared the young man.

Previously the man found out that all the servants had been witched by the woman and he realized that this could've happened to him too if he didn’t leave the woman’s house. So he went away, but as soon as the woman saw the man leaving she tried to stretch out her arm to stop him. Nonetheless she managed to run away.

When he saw the transformation of the woman begin, his body froze, his face revealed anxiety and his eyes were just staring at the switch.

If before his thoughts got lost in a romantic atmosphere, now he was immersed in doubts about what the woman next to him was becoming: “which mystery is hidden behind this enigmatic and beautiful woman?”.

For all these thoughts he hadn’t time to realize that the woman had already turned off the lights. 

The length of her arm slowly reduced itself with the speed…No change, no transformation in the dark, only the woman, laid on her pillow, waiting for a kiss, that wasn’t given.. as the man wasn't by her side.

But this unreceived kiss was the cause of her awakening in hospital.

The woman said: "where am I?" and the doctor answered: "we assume you don’t remember anything about the accident…" 

and he asked her if she remembered something…moreover she was in a coma for 10 years. They checked the state of her health and She started to relive her past memories.

During the night they slept together quietly and soundly, like two children, but with a strange feeling in their body. 

Suddenly, in the middle of the night, the woman woke up and she was in shock and an evil feeling arose in her heart: she was afraid of growing fond of the man because one day he might hurt her. 

In this way, in the silence of the night, she grabbed the dagger, adorned with rubies which was on her night table and with violence and anger she pierced the poor man’s heart. Immediately after she wrapped his lifeless body in the white, fragrant bed sheets.

 After thinking for a long time alone about what to do with the man’s body, she got up early in the morning and decided to kill him with a gunshot.

The woman grabbed the man’s hand and pulled him onto bed. The man was confused, he didn't know what to do at that point: he was thinking about calling the police, but the woman started to yell at him. They made a lot of noise, and then suddenly: BOOM.

The woman jumped on the bed and broke it so they ended up on the floor.

When he finally found the switch, he turned the lights on in a blink of an eye  and saw a big monster with five long arms on top of the bed.

 Frightened, he immediately ran away from the bedroom asking for help and he decided to go  into the backyard and there he saw that also the servants were horrible monsters. In a blink of an eye he was surrounded by them and the woman started to get closer and closer.

But suddenly the alarm clock rang and he woke up on his hotel bed, luckily it was only a strange and terrible dream so he went back to sleep and continued to live his solitary life.

Slowly her hands started to get away, finger by finger, until the man felt nothing. “Honey” he screamed. No response. In the pitch dark, a light appeared, it was pointing at 2 figures: a man and a woman who were having  a picnic and enjoying the peaceful environment. 

Soon after the darkness overwhelmed the light and then a man and a woman who were  hugging in front of a fireplace, appeared. Once again the light disappeared. The man started to remember his feelings and when another light came on, a photocase showing the couple at their wedding was highlighted. Behind the photo he could read a sentence “Let’s make new memories together, ok?”. And then the light started to fade away so did the woman’s face in the picture.

When woke up, he noticed that the twinkling of the stars were highlighting the wedding ring, that he had bought for his special love before the accident. 

Suddenly the man heard someone knocking at the door and he decided to be brave and open it even if he was scared. The man opened the door,  he couldn’t believe his eyes, his love was standing in front of him. “Sweetheart” he said “why don't you take a step in? Is there something wrong?” the woman did not answer. The man tried to grab her hand but as soon as he got close she disappeared. The man was disappointed in himself. He tried to fill the emptiness with food, but he immediately felt dizzy and disgusted. He didn't care anymore: his life, the world, the universe was worthless without his love. He grabbed the knife, closed his eyes and stabbed himself. Then only darkness, but this time the only light was that of the sun shining on his lifeless body through the window.

At first he thought that he drank way too much of the liquor and then he imagined he had been drugged by the mysterious woman. He blamed himself for being so confident into going home with a stranger he didn't even know the name of.

He knew he shouldn't have followed her, but he couldn't resist and say no. What was he supposed to do now? He immediately thought of running away but he was petrified, every muscle of his body was paralysed.

When she noticed his pallid and terrified face, she felt satisfied.

"Don't overthink this, my dear. Just let yourself go."

A While ago, the woman was strangled by her husband. It was a totally dark night and she didn't know that something horrible was about to happen until the man switched off the lights and coldly killed his wife. The most shocking thing was not that they had been together for a long time, but they also had children!

She had never felt anything that gave her such a feeling of terror pulsing through her body! After all they've been through, was that all it took? This terrible event happened eleven years ago, in the same room where the woman showed herself as a monster in front of the lonely man. The woman's ghost is well-known to appear every year in the fascinating city of Rome, with the purpose of finding a man who doesn't interrupt their intimacy by switching off the lights. When the woman will find this man, she will stop taking revenge on men. Otherwise the woman will try different ways to scare them, haunt them, terrorise them. So that they can feel what she had felt that night.

The woman reassured him, saying that it was only the result of his imagination, and that he just had to calm down. The woman murmured something to him but he didn’t answer her…He was too busy thinking…He felt like he was no longer himself…

Then the woman came back from the kitchen holding a cup of tea. He drank that strange and green liquid. He laid on the bed, he felt his head flying and then, in that  beautiful and glimmered night full of stars, all slowly disappeared.

He opened his eyes and he found himself on the bed of his empty room. He tried to open his eyes but they seemed to be covered with something that was trying to keep them close. The room was very dark but he tried, still hesitant, to look around. He  instantly thought “I must get out of here” and then he moved his hand slowly. Something was stopping him from escaping from that narrow room. They seemed to be chains. While he was thinking about how to break those things that kept him there, he heard some footsteps. 

He was shaking, he wanted to disappear. Then he saw her. 

He tried to scream all his pain out but nothing came out of his mouth. The mysterious woman pulled out something from her pocket. It was a knife… He started shaking, as she got nearer. She spoke. Her voice was slightly different. When he realized what was going on. He just understood that she stalked him for a long time and now she needed to trap him there forever. That shiny knife penetrated into his pale skin, and before he could say anything his blood was pouring out of his body. She stabbed him in the casket where all the emotions were contained. Deep in the hearth. 

All started to vanish, but this time was going to be forever.

There was a hush full of the scared man's heavy breaths. In that moment the only possible way out was to persuade the monster to not kill him. With a trembling and hesitant voice he said: “Who, or rather, what are You? What do you want from me?" The monster got closer and closer to his frightened face at the point that the man could feel its breathing against his cheeks, but it didn't answer the questions, leaving a fulfilled atmosphere of fear. That situation didn't last that much, since the monster finally answered:"We will be together from now on, I won't  ever feel lonely again, and neither will you". 

This was the last thing the man heard. Before he could think of an answer, he saw nothing but darkness around him. 

Suddenly his eyes flickered as he regained consciousness and felt the warmth of the sun against his skin. In fact, he found himself on the bed of his hotel, with no woman next to him. He realized, what happened the day before was just a horrible nightmare. 

He started panicking. He stared at the back of the woman. He had to make a choice as soon as possible.

He tried to get up but the bed made a loud noise, waking up the woman.

“What are you doing? It’s one and a half in the morning, please sleep.”  

 “NO” he yelled. ”What do you want from me?”

“Oh, don’t panic, stay calm. I will explain, but please trust me.”

While she was speaking the man looked back at all his life with a bit of sadness. He didn’t believe her at all, but with a bit of courage he sat near her.

“I won’t do anything bad to you. I’m a mountain creature, I can stretch my whole body. I escaped from the place where I lived because I was feeling alone, and I didn’t like to be manipulated. They want us to hate you humans and start a war between our species, but I swear I won’t kill you.” Her lovely and calm voice was like a song. He was lost in her beautiful eyes, blue like the ocean, and her black long hair was like petroleum in the sea. Her hearty lips started to move, making him thinking about all the soft kisses she left on his lips only a few hours before. 

"If it's okay with you, could you stay at my house for a couple of days?" and he accepted, chaining his eyes on the magnificent woman.

Without hesitation he kissed her good night. She lifted her hand on the man’s stomach and hugged him for the whole night.

He suddenly woke up. The TV was still on the same channel, where he left it before falling asleep. The horror channel was broadcasting IT. He loved that movie!

“Never see a horror movie at night. I already told you, honey”

“Yeah, you’re right!”... Wait a second, I live alone! He thought before seeing all black.

She switched off the light and they both fell asleep. The man was feeling odd all night long, as if he had to do something he didn't want to do. In the morning a horrible view awaited him. The bed sheets and his hands were covered in blood. The woman was laying on the floor and the man could see her throat slit. He was shocked, how could this have happened? The man wanted to call the police but if he did they would arrest him… I mean, who would believe someone covered in blood to be innocent? He gathered his personal things and went to the train station. He wanted to go to the airport and go home as soon as possible...

On the flight he was worried because he didn't clean the house and he didn't get rid of his fingerprints, but on the other hand, from the moment he saw her, she looked mysterious, but also so beautiful, she didn't look like someone people would know about or look for. "Great.."- he said slowly, while snickering. Why was he acting like this? What had happened?

A few months later, her face was all over the news, he was going insane, each passing day he felt more and more guilty but not enough to get locked up. It was like a curse, he would see that woman in his nightmares, on the news and even in the photos taken in Rome. The man was beginning to feel envious of dead people, how could someone live like this?...It was miserable. Lastly, he decided to end this suffering once and for all. While he was hanging himself, he saw her in front of him… as he was dying.

"Hello darling..."- she said slowly, and blood was coming out of her mouth. "No hard feelings, okay? I just enjoy this..a lot, it's fun to torment people like you. If this can console you, you weren't the one who killed me. I mean… no one can, it just happened that you were there and that way I found my plaything. Goodbye now..rest"- she said teasingly, smiling creepily as she watched life flow away from him, his body was swinging left and right.
