It is a Disney movie for all ages, and it is rated PG. It is very innocent and a childhood favorite.  It will help our Hero's Journey studies because:
1. Lilo goes through lots of character development throughout the movie because of the backstory.
2. I can name The Reward, The Test, etc. It has all of the steps and it would be easy, yet fun, to name each one throughout the movie. Because of this, it would help us practice and study the Hero's Journey steps.
3. Along with it being a touching story, it also has lots of characters that go through multiple challenges that help them grown, learn, and develop relationships throughout the movie.

2) The hero's journey would be identifiable and have meaning throughout the whole story. The tests are sequenced in a very defined pattern.
3) There is a theme shown in the story that is consistent and the movie is also PG.
