Over 50% of the population is in India where there are conflicts for space and resources with humans. Asian elephants are still being poached for ivory, meat and skin.</div>]]></description>

In some areas farmers shoot the leopards because they prey on their animals and poaching is still a major threat of their species and hunting of their prey.</div>]]></description>
