         <description><![CDATA[<div>I added the wire to make a short circuit so that instead of the electrons flowing through the wire with the light bulb, they will instead flow through the extra wire as there is less resistance and electricity follows the path of least resistance.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>In this setup, the bulb will not light up.</strong><br><br></div><div>This is because electricity always flows through the path with the least resistance. <br><br>In the circuit with the bulb, there is more resistance, so the electric current does not flow through that path, and thus the bulb does not light up.<em>&nbsp;(I tested it)</em></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Above is the solution if one wants to make the bulb shine less brightly, or even not light up.<br><br>As electrons flow through the path with the least resistance, the circuit above will become a short circuit as there is no object to convert the electrons to light or heat energy.<br><br>Thus, electrons will not flow to the path with the bulb and as a result, the bulb will not light up as there are no electrons to be converted to light energy.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The extra added wire in the circuit basically creates a new, shorter circuit. The electricity will flow through this new circuit instead of the one containing the lightbulb and will cause a short circuit, resulting in the lightbulb staying off.</div>]]></description>

Current travels through the path of least resistance and the path with the additional wire only has less resistance than the original path with the bulb. </div>]]></description>
