Here, a sudden rush of excitement came over Ralph, causing him to join the group in stabbing at Robert with their spears. This was an alarmingly cruel event that all of the boys took part in.

Jack views Robert as just something that he wants to kill, and if it wasn't for the other boys being their, Jack would have most likely killed Robert.

In this quote, Jack suggests that they use a little one next time and that if he dies it won't be a big deal because they aren't very helpful anyway.
