I was so incredibly excited once I finally figured out I was eligible to take online courses and thought it would be easier. IT IS NOT!! It is extremely demanding and very challenging when it comes to time management, comprehension and navigation. I am grateful because not only do I LOVE my classes, but I feel like I am attaining a high level of education even though I'm at home!

I am so fortunate this semester to L.O.V.E. my courses! I have taken a couple of English 1A classes and was afraid for my third, I'd strike out! However, I was more than pleasantly surprised! My first English class, the readings were all sports based texts. However interesting and a good learning experience, I wanted something different. The second one, I was SURE I'd love because the Professor was also my English teacher in high school... and the readings were all history based. History has NEVER been my thing. In my current english course, I love our texts, and it makes the course so much easier to enjoy and push through all of the work! The work load is so much heavier than I thought it would be and it is challenging. Every week, I think, "There's no way I can accomplish all of this AND my math homework AND my two jobs and appointments and all the shopping and cleaning the house," and every week, I am able to accomplish more than I think I can. The juggling is real!!

I was not even going to enroll in classes this semester. The biggest part of me wanted to just say no thank you I can't do it, but I couldn't let myself off the hook for one or two classes while whining about how bad I need to get a move on for my degrees. Every aspect about enrolling has been positive. I might get financial aid, for the first time in Ten years of trying!! I made the decision this semester to minor in something that has always been a dream for me since I was a young child; journalism. I love writing, love language, and love critical thinking. This english course, however challenging, helped me make my decision to do something I've always wanted to do. I will continue to pursue my major in Accounting, because it was my main goal after all, but why not learn to do something I enjoy as well?
