         <title>Roman roads</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. The surveyor was convinced that it was a straight line and wooden posts were dug into the ground to make a straight line. <br>2.  The roads were built higher than the level of the earth because it helped them with drainage. <br>3. Roman roads were used for wagons and soldiers. They were able to move quicker with these durable roads. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>1. 11 Roman aqueducts were built all across Rome and carried fresh spring water from the mountains<br>2. Aqueducts were usually built underground so enemies wont try to poison them and so animals wont urine on it too.&nbsp;<br>3. They then used this water for fountains, drinkable water, baths, and for private households.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Arches provided strength to hold heavy weight on bridges, tunnels, and aqueducts.&nbsp;<br>2.&nbsp; The top of the arch is called the keystone which forces the compression of the arch.<br>3. The arches are first built with wood then covered in special concrete the Romans used. &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Praetors enforced the laws and the Vigiles  were the Roman police that kept the twelve tables.<br>3. If you would break the law or committed a crime the rich citizens will be far less punished then if a slave would.</div>]]></description>

Plebeians and Patricians made up the Roman republic. A Plebeian was in the lower class and the Patricians were in the higher wealthier class. <br>3. A dictator had full power of the military for a while, two consuls one from the plebeians and the patricians, Senators had the power of judicial, and Tribunes protected the Romans interest. <br><br></div>]]></description>
