I could use oral presentation in my distance education class to have students either share their final writings or to share their ideas to write their narratives about. They could also share out throughout the writing process to get feedback from their peers on anything that may need to be added. As this is a distance education class they could do this by recording through a software such as Loom so that there does not need to be a scheduled time to meet as a class.

Skills test/demonstration is when courses focus on skills instead of information gained. Typically there is a hands on demonstration to show their skills.
