As western powers began to grow stronger, Japan needed to revolutionize and get a strong defense. This occurred during the 19th century. Japan was the first country in Asia to industrialize. During this time, their main exports contained silk, teas, weapons, sake and ships. mentioning weapons, the Japanese also based the construction and training of its military on the western powers. After the industrialization happened, the shogun was overthrown, the Meiji was reinstated, school/government systems had many new advancements and feudalism was abolished.

Britain, United Kingdom

The industrial revolution first started in Britain, in 1760. While Britain had disadvantages with things such as textiles, they were able to trade with India for quite cheap. But their main advantage during this time was coal and minerals, along with a heavy workforce. The Britain peoples made many great inventions which have grown our societies in many ways. These inventions contain but are not limited to the Bessemer process, trains, steamships, etc. These things truly revolutionized their economy, bringing wealth and power.

Europe

While Europe was not as big and fast growing as the other places around the world, it still played an important part when it came to the industrial revolution. Europe became the top producers of steel. (specifically Germany and France.) Once the countries unified within themselves their economy became greatly powerful with booming cities. The effects of this led to more people in said countries, trade, industrialization, and jobs (making a stronger economy).

Industrialization started in the US in the late 19th century. After this revolution the United States grew quickly and widely adapted when it came to this new and modernized lifestyle. It also became the top industrial work force. They created modern machinery such as cars, steamboats, trains and more. Along with their new system of factories. This allowed for more labor which boosted the economy. the effects of this revolution came with a downside, as the farmers/agriculture came to an end as well as mass pollution began.

The industrial revolution had no great purpose for these countries as they were so popularized, which this came with poor effects. The Brits took advantage of this and scraped them for cotton and iron. Lots of things within their land were given to Britain such as cotton, iron, textiles, ships, etc. There was not much change during this revolution as they had been colonized by Britain for a long amount of time.

The economy of Egypt had a quick downfall due to the advancement in the powers of Europe. Before the industrial revolution became, Egypt had a strong market of carpets, silks and many other textiles. But since the trade with Europe had been canceled, their economy fell. Leading to two important conflicts within the country.

Africa while not including itself in the revolution, it was still affected. Such as Britain claiming most of their materials and common resources. (such as gold, precious stones,, salt, etc). Along with imperializing their country.

South America

While many states within south America did not choose to participate in the industrial revolution, they were still affected by it. The population itself along with its health rapidly increased. Urbanization became very popular and sustainable. Trade was also heavily increased. Their main trades often consisted of silver, copper, tin, nitrates, wild rubber, guano, sugar, beef cacao, bananas and more. Before the revolution this country was in recovery and had a fragile economy. After, it was a truly strong country with a growing population.
