I'm working in administration field during 5 years and I identify myself better with Distributed leadership emphasises. I believe that leadership is no longer just the responsibility of one formal leader. Lots of employees can take responsibility for their field, they can be empowered to believe that they can act and implement activities, achieve the set goals. However, it is my duty to allocate responsibilities in a timely manner, without pressure, or to enable me to take on the necessary responsibilities by showing confidence to them
.

Distributed leadership is my favorite model. I like to observe the dynamics in my organization, but also in other organizations that I have the opportunity to enter and identify where there is expertise in that organization. Experience has shown me that expertise is not (only) with the person holding the position or formal role. In order to practice this type of leadership, it is necessary for the director to assume that his role is diminishing, but he can also easily prepare the work by delegating tasks.
Distributed leadership is successful where the members of the organization gather their expertise, take the initiative in assuming leadership responsibility, demonstrate leadership behaviors in key situations, without being asked or delegated tasks.
Studying the impact of this type of distributed leadership on our school organization led to the conclusion that it has a fairly large beneficial influence on the development of the personality of teachers and students and on the involvement of parents in school life.

Today, the School's mission is focused on the development of both children and young people in terms of their training and education, the exercise of not only transformational but also ethical and moral leadership assumes a more significant relevance, with evident effects on society in general. . In this sense, it should be noted that the ethical and moral dimensions of organizational activity assume particular relevance when they refer to the educational context. Therefore, we consider that the effects of the conduct of institutions and their leaders in the interpersonal relationships that are established with teachers determine the psychosocial well-being of all participants in the educational and training process.

In other words, as the most effective form of leadership, it is focused, above all, on the processes of motivation and change of attitudes of its subordinates, based on the development of moral values as well as the definition of superior ideals that should transcend individual interests. Based on four pillars of strategic action: The first refers to the ability to formulate and share a vision, which may represent an objective, a plan or a set of priorities. The second is related to the ability to convey the form of realization of the vision. The third is related to the capacity to build an environment of trust based on justice and coherence in which its persistence overcomes barriers and problems. The four, the development of a positive self-esteem, stimulating the development of my abilities as well as those of others so that success can be achieved.

In addition to the large number of tasks that a single person cannot perform at all, the health of the school management and the acceptance of decisions within the staff also play a major role. The more teachers are involved in the decision, the more likely it is that the decision can also be implemented and checked by the teaching staff.

Well I have never been in a leadership position, except if you consider being a class teacher one. I guess as a class teacher I try to be more a transformational one and distributed leadership too (but vigilant on how everything is working with everyone) with teachers and pupils (and some parents as well). My mission is to get to know who I work with, be aware of the strengths and weaknesses and try to motivate everyone in a discussed and accepted direction: there are behaviours that need to be changed: which and why? how - who contributes with what? what is the goal for everyone in the immediate future and in the long run? With students - there is a problem: identify causes, try to get solutions in small groups and share in larger groups and then in class ( like sitting students in a classroom - let's look and discuss proposals) - it takes much more time but I believe it is more effective ( although not always we see immediate results and it may get frustrating) because people feel part of the process. Easy? No way! It all depends who you are working with but compromise and plenty of wit is needed, be aware of situations/ opportunities and get them as they come (of course it gives a lot of work/trouble in thinking how to get everyone on track and without leaving anyone behind (at least try not to) ... that's why I will never be a good leader ... The classroom is my place (but isn't the teacher a sort of leader and aren´t there pupils with leader profile among their peers?

What I aspire to be is a transformational leader who includes the staff members to the process of leading. I have come to understand that the culture plays an important role in the ways in which ppl think about the role of a leader. In Myanmar I feel my colleagues expect more top-down leading and don't feel always comfortable with distributed leadership and it rather confuses them sometimes. When thinking about what would motivate staff to move towards common goals, I believe it helps when the goals have been created with the staff together and everyone feels that the goals are theirs also. In addition, having the regular reflection on the goals and objectives would keep us hopefully "on track".

Looking back at the beginning of my career, I have to admit that my leadership style, as a rule, was situational. With most positive intentions and minimum experience, I observed the situation and tried to meet teachers’, students’ or parents’ expectations and resolve issues that arose at the time. With practise, I realized that the goal of a school principal is to implement a long-term vision of a good school; to motivate, involve and empower the staff to promote a sustainable academic and ethical school culture. Today, as a school community, we have clear and evidence-based agreements on good inclusive education. We are constantly learning. We are able to work in teams and are not afraid to introduce pedagogical innovations that help our children to perform well. As a leader, when needed, I am ready and solve our “situational” problems and motivate people not to give up. But in the long-term perspective, I work hard, learn and advance my experience in instructional and distributed leadership.

I advocate "servant leadership", which allows for building bridges, and in that sense we need to share the leadership role with other elements.
As Archimedes said, "Give me a foothold and or I will raise the world", and we will have this foothold, this multiplying force, in others, hence we need to imply. When we involve people in change, it is faster, more accepted, effective and lasting.
Therefore, at work, we must distribute tasks, involve intermediate leaders and thus the idea is multiplied and will reach more employees.

I see myself using all types of leadership, really. But perhaps the one I identify most with is the transformational leadership. I’m that kind of person that believes the most important to motivate a person is not necessarily to promise them a salary increase but to tap them on the shoulder and recognise them for their achievements. I do it all the time, with everybody around me. A person that knows s/he is recognised by the leader is willing to work extra hours, feels the business as their own and goes the extra mile for the job. And this is something you can easily recognise anywhere. Imagine a store: it’s about to close when a last customer comes in. The person who feels recognised will accept the customer in, while the worker who is not given credit by the leader will close the store no matter what, because “it’s time to close”. The same pattern can be seen in schools.

But I also identify with distributed/shared leadership. I believe a good organization is the one where the leader trusts their staff and delegates work. I like to be in control, I cannot deny this, but in my leadership roles I always surround myself with people I trust and so I know we can collaborate and the workload can be distributed and shared.

I have been running the Center for several years and now I think I am about to move into distributed leadership. The Center began to function with me as director and at that time the leadership was educational, a few years later, I started with transformational and situational leadership. Now is the time to move on to distributed leadership.

Transformational and distributed leadership are important for the development of the school and empowerment of the staff. However, we cannot lose sight of the importance of teaching and learning in schools, and that is why instructional leadership is important also.
