F1 First filial) generation-first generation from the parents  is the first filial generation of offspring of distinctly different parental types. F1 hybrids are used in genetics, and in selective breeding, where it may appear as F1 crossbreed. The term is sometimes written with a subscript, as F₁ hybrid.
The offspring from the F1 generation comprise the second filia generation  the F2 generation  is the result of a cross between two F1 individuals.

BB=brown eyes, Bb= brown eyes, bb= blue eyes.
term: The genotype  is the set of genes in our DNA which is responsible for a particular trait. The phenotype is the physical expression, or characteristics, of that trait.

Inheritance, as defined by Webster's, is 'the reception of genetic qualities by transmission from parent to offspring.' Basically it refers to the traits or genes that are passed on from one parental generation to their offspring.
