Alexandria is a charming town located in the southern part of Romania. It is the capital city of Teleorman County and lies about 90 kilometers southwest of Bucharest, the country’s capital. The town has a population of around 40,000 people and serves as an important administrative, cultural, and educational center for the region.

Alexandria was founded in the 19th century and was named in honor of Prince Alexandru Dimitrie Ghica. The town has a peaceful atmosphere and is known for its wide streets, green parks, and welcoming people.

Education plays an important role in the community, with several well-known schools — among them Ștefan cel Mare Secondary School, which is actively involved in national and international educational projects such as eTwinning.

Alexandria also offers cultural and recreational opportunities. The Cultural House, the County Library “Marin Preda”, and several local museums promote art, history, and literature. The town hosts various cultural events throughout the year, including festivals, concerts, and traditional celebrations.

The surrounding area is mostly agricultural, with beautiful natural landscapes, fields, and small villages that reflect Romania’s rural charm. People here are friendly, hardworking, and proud of their traditions.

Our class is part of Brândușa Kindergarten in Bucharest, Romania, and includes young children aged 3–4 years. We believe that the early years are the foundation for lifelong learning, so we create a warm, safe, and joyful environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to explore.
