The project effectively brought physics concepts to life through its thoughtful design and clear demonstrations of motion and mechanical advantage. The use of simple materials like cardboard, yarn, and small magnets made the prototype accessible and creative, showing how everyday items can be turned into functional machines. However, some of the materials such as the yarn or cardboard may have introduced excess friction or instability, which could affect precision and overall efficiency. Exploring slightly sturdier or smoother alternatives, like plastic pulleys or nylon string, might enhance durability and improve the machine’s performance for future iterations.

The crane system cleverly uses cardboard, yarn, and magnets to demonstrate basic physics and mechanical principles. Its design is simple yet functional, making it accessible and easy to build. The magnetic hook adds an engaging feature for lifting objects. However, the yarn and cardboard may cause friction or reduce stability. Replacing them with smoother or stronger materials could improve precision and durability.

The idea and outcome effectively showcased physics principles, particularly motion and mechanical advantage, through its clever design and clear demonstrations. The use of everyday materials like cardboard, yarn, and magnets made the model both inventive and accessible. Still, components such as yarn or cardboard may have caused extra friction or reduced stability, which might affect the device’s accuracy. Using more durable or smoother alternatives like nylon string or plastic pulleys could improve the overall function in future versions.

Our design showed both rotational and translational motion well using the pulley and wheel & axle. It did worked, but I noticed the string wasn’t tight enough, so the movement wasn’t very smooth. I also think we could have explained the mechanical advantage better, so it’s easier to understand how each part helps make work easier. To improve our design, we’ll try our best to fix some things in our overall design especially the string. This way, our project/design will work better.

The design demonstrated physics concepts using simple materials like cardboard, yarn, and magnets. It was creative and accessible, showing a good understanding of motion and mechanical advantage. However, common issues such as friction, loose strings, and reduced stability affected performance.

This experiment made us see in practice how physics may help rather considerably to enhance the work of the machines. By applying the concept of mechanical advantage, we were able to minimize our efforts and lift a load with relatively more ease by applying a pulley. Secondly, the need to ensure that the movement was not wobbly or swings but rather linear and controllable made the machine more reliable. We would discover that we might actually make the design much more efficient, effective with the materials, smoother strings, bigger pulleys, tighter low-friction sliders. This allowed iz to realize how critical it is to employ both design thinking and understanding of physics in order to build anything mechanical.

The prototype for our group shows us basic physics using a compound machine to show both translational, rotational and mechanical advantage. The machine was made with materials accessible to us, showing that we can make our own simple or compound device with resources that we already have. Although the downside of this is that our materials may cause the motion of the machine to not have a smooth output. Since our machine is only a prototype, we can still make some changes for better and smooth operation

The pulley system projects demonstrated a solid understanding of basic physics principles, particularly mechanical advantage and types of motion. The use of materials like cardboard, yarn, and magnets to build functional prototypes, shows that complex concepts can be taught using simple resources. However, some parts of the system can be improved specifically the material used for better experience.
