         <description><![CDATA[<div>Task 10 - Go to the main entrance of the St. Stephen's cathedral and take a picture with your group. <br><br><strong>St. Stephen's Cathedral</strong> (<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_language">German</a>: <em>Stephansdom</em>) is the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mother_Church#Cathedral">mother church</a> of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Catholic_Archdiocese_of_Vienna">Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vienna</a> and the seat of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archbishop_of_Vienna">Archbishop of Vienna</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christoph_Sch%C3%B6nborn">Christoph Cardinal Schönborn</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ordo_Praedicatorum">OP</a>. The current <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romanesque_architecture">Romanesque</a> and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gothic_architecture">Gothic</a> form of the cathedral, seen today in the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephansplatz,_Vienna">Stephansplatz</a>, was largely initiated by <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudolf_IV,_Duke_of_Austria">Duke Rudolf IV</a> (1339–1365) and stands on the ruins of two earlier churches, the first a parish church consecrated in 1147. The most important religious building in Vienna, St. Stephen's Cathedral has borne witness to many important events in Habsburg and Austrian history and has, with its multi-coloured tile roof, become one of the city's most recognizable symbols.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Task 9 - Take a picture of the "Stock im Eisen" <br><br>The <strong>Stock im Eisen</strong> (<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_language">German</a>: "staff in iron") is the midsection of a tree-trunk from the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_Ages">Middle Ages</a>, a so-called nail-tree (<em>Nagelbaum</em>), into which hundreds of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nail_(fastener)">nails</a> have been pounded for good luck over centuries. It is located in <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vienna">Vienna</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austria">Austria</a>, in Stock-im-Eisen-Platz, now part of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephansplatz,_Vienna">Stephansplatz</a>, at the corner of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graben,_Vienna">the Graben</a> and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K%C3%A4rntner_Stra%C3%9Fe">Kärntner Straße</a> and is now behind glass on a corner of the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palais_Equitable">Palais Equitable</a>.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Task 7 - Take a picture of a White Horse.&nbsp;<br><br>The world-famous performances by the Lipizzans – the Ballet of the White Stallions – take place in the unique, baroque Winter Riding School at Hofburg Palace, built under<br>&nbsp;Charles VI.</div><div>These performances are the result of years of training for the rider and their Lipizzans.<br>&nbsp;From the young, boisterous stallions to the fully trained School Stallions,&nbsp;</div><div>they enchant the audience with their performance in the School Quadrille, in the Schools on and above the ground and on the Long Rein.</div><div>This atmosphere and the accompanying classical Viennese music make the wonderful presentation by the rider and their Lipizzans even more enjoyable.</div>]]></description>

The foundation stone was laid by King <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottokar_II_of_Bohemia">Ottokar II of Bohemia</a> in 1276. Duke Albrecht II later supported the building process, especially the main portal. The Gothic Ludwig choir was built between 1316 and 1328, and used as a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mausoleum">mausoleum</a> in the 14th and 15th centuries.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Task 1 - On the stairs of the temple take a group picture.&nbsp;<br>The Theseus Temple was built between 1819 and 1823 by court architect Peter von Nobile. It was designed to house a single work of contemporary art: Antonio Canova’s white marble masterpiece Theseus Slaying the Centaur. For almost seventy years this artwork stood alone inside the building, until in 1890 it was moved to the newly­completed Kunsthistorisches Museum, where it remains today on the museum’s monumental staircase.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>
