In a perfect world, I would have everything under control. Who am I fooling? This is not a perfect world and I definitely don't have everything under control. Lets take for example, last week was our first graded discussion where we were advise to post our initial contribution by Wednesday and give feedbacks to two of our classmate by Saturday. But being me, I was able to post my initial contribution on Friday and I'm still not certain if I had the correct approach the question. What I am certain about is that I acquire some knowledge on the requirements and process of a literature review.

Reflecting on the Unit 3 topic 'Communication in
the Research Process' which basically covers communication throughout the business research process. it started off with the research proposal which is a tool to communicate the plan for research. During that week students were task in finding a research topic in order to complete a research proposal. I choose the topic ' The effect of employee training on customer experience in the service industry'. This research will be completed on the Flow Grenada Limited Company. Additional to learning about the research proposal, I was also introduced to the research report and how it can be used to communicate the findings of research and provide information necessary for management to make decisions relevant to the research problem. Finally. the unit made mention of how oral presentation can be use in communicating and discussing research findings in an engaging way.

Unit 4 topic was research deign. It is the plan of action or blueprint for a study. The foundations of research design is the qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods approaches. We looked at methods which emphasize conceptualizing and measuring the experience, knowledge and attitudes. I learnt this week about the levels of measurement: ordinal, nominal, ratio and interval and the good measurement must comprise of three essential criteria – reliability, validity, and sensitivity. Finally, the unit discussed sampling and use of sampling and non-sampling designs to select samples from a larger population. An additional activity for this unit was to complete a concept map with sampling as the topic. This was not challenging since I have created one before in another course.
