We can make learning authentic by learning about real-world problems, challenges and questions. Real world challenges are everywhere but not typically in textbooks or standardised curriculum. They are however, in the news, industries and our local communities and all around us. We would need to explore these areas rather than use just textbooks.

I think we can make learning authentic and link in to the real world by giving the children problems/tasks that they may actually face in life life. This will make the children understand why they are doing the task and gives them a reason behind it.

To make learning authentic teachers need to provide experiences that can be applied to real life that are relevant to the child at that point in time, teachers should ensure that children have the opportunity to have first hand experiences and explore their senses(seeing /hearing /discussing/doing)to find out issues or skills which can contribute to the world around them and By giving children the opportunity to direct their learning this is personalised and through interests they develop inquiry ,creativity to develop skills

In order to design learning to be authentic we must provide the children with experiences that are relevant. Children should be encouraged to participate in experiential learning (learning through experience and doing). Teachers should plan lessons and tasks that allow the children to engage in experiences that have some relevance to the real world.

We can make learning authentic and linked to the real world by providing learners with as many opportunities to experience different things as possible. However, in order for this to become effective we must ensure that the children are physically involved. For example, if our learners were learning about trees during winter, it is far more effective to let the children actually experience and explore this, rather than showing them a PowerPoint inside the classroom that relates to the topic. Also, learning can be made authentic by providing the children with a broad range of experiences and lessons, to encourage the development of ideas and skills in a variety of ways.
