I have so many memories of our times together. I think the times I will remember best are the ones when we attended many professional golf championships together, including Toronto and Hamilton for the Canadian Opens held there. But especially the PGA championship and the Ryder Cup in Michigan. It seems like they were just yesterday!  We loved the European golfers didn’t we? Especially the Irish ones - Graeme McDowell, Padraig Harrington and of course, Rory McIlroy.

    We had many happy times with Geoff on your sailboat in Leamington, Ontario and the power boat on the Fraser River in B.C.  We enjoyed your delicious meals at your homes in New Westminster, Port Moody and at Fairwinds on Vancouver Island.

    Growing up, you were like a second Mom to me. You were my mentor. I will always love you and remember you.

She was my mentor and the best boss I ever had.  She went onto become the coordinator of the “I Care” program and helped many people learn to read. 
     Carol and I happily reconnected when my 
    husband Mike and I moved to the Island in 2014.  I have many wonderful of memories of our times spent together. 
     I feel blessed to have had a warm and caring friend like Carol in my life.  She will
    be greatly missed.

Just one of many happy occasions spent with her while visiting my BC family. 
    I remember a happy visit to her in Nanaimo too when she took me to her favourite second-hand book store. She loved talking books, especially mystery and crime stories.
    Also enjoyed playing Scrabble - not her favourite - and I often won Ha ha
    I think of her often and even though not in BC, just miss her so much!
