         <description><![CDATA[<div>Logical- good at scientific investigations and identifying relationships between different things, understanding complex and abstract ideas<br>Linguistic- knowing of language through reading writing and speaking- writers, politicians<br>Bodily Kinesthetic- enjoy sports and dancing, like to build things and be active- surgeons, athletes, artists<br>Visual Spatial- people with high visual intelligence- see the bigger picture- recognize faces- pay attention to detail- architect, artist<br>Musical- capacity to certain pitch and tone- good rhythm and easily recognize songs- musician, singer conductor, songwriter<br>Interpersonal- ability to understand and interact effectively with others- teacher, psychologist, nurse<br>Naturalistic- notice patterns and rhythms, care for animals- veterinarian<br>Intrapersonal- know themselves well, good at managing things- program planners, entrepreneurs <br><br>Important people<br>-Alfred Binet- created first Practical intelligence test in france: Binet-Simon scale. First US test- <br>-Lewis Terman- Educational psychologist. Created the first US practical intelligence test: Stanford-Binet test<br>- William Stern- Created the IQ (intelligence quotient)<br>-LL Thurstone- standardization- studied 7 abilities: reasoning ability, word fluency, verbal comprehension, facility with numbers, spacial visualization, associative memory, perceptual speed<br><br>Mental age<br>------------------                        X 100= IQ<br>Chronological age <br><br>10-119 is bright normal<br>120-129 is superior<br>130 is very superior<br>150 and above is truly gifted<br><br>Below 70- intellectually disabled <br>mild- 50-69<br>moderate- 35-49<br>severe- 20-34<br>profound- under 20<br><br>Autistic savant- social IQ- disabled, mental IQ- superior<br><br>-Sternberg- trairchic theory<br><br>Standardization- Consistency and objectivity of how tests are administered and scored.          <title>Different Intelligences</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>---Linguistic Intelligence-  a part of Howard Gardner's multiple intelligence theory that deals with individuals' ability to understand both spoken and written language, as well as their ability to speak and write themselves.<br>---Mathematical-Logical Intelligence-  skilled at deductive reasoning, detecting patterns, and logical thinking. People with logical/mathematical intelligence are good at scientific investigations and identifying relationships between different things. They are also good at understanding complex and abstract ideas<br>---Naturalistic Intelligence- observing, understanding and organizing patterns in the natural environment. A naturalist is someone who shows expertise in the recognition and classification of plants and animals.<br>---Spatial Intelligence-  the ability to comprehend three-dimensional images and shapes. This is a primary function of the right side of the brain and is used when solving puzzles, figuring out maps and taking part in any type of construction or engineering project.<br>---Bodily Kinesthetic Intelligence- skilled at using their body to convey feelings and ideas. They have good hand-eye coordination and are very aware of their bodies. Their fine and gross motor skills are more advanced than the average person's.<br>---Intrapersonal Intelligence- another term for self-awareness or introspection. It's part of psychologist Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences. People who have high intrapersonal intelligence are aware of their emotions, motivations, beliefs, and goals.<br>---Interpersonal Intelligence- the ability to understand and interact effectively with others. It involves effective verbal and nonverbal communication, the ability to note distinctions among others, sensitivity to the moods and temperaments of others, and the ability to entertain multiple perspectives.</div><div>---Musial intelligence-  the capacity to discern pitch, rhythm, timbre, and tone. Thisintelligence enables us to recognize, create, reproduce, and reflect on music, as demonstrated by composers, conductors, musicians, vocalist, and sensitive listeners</div>]]></description>
