Roh Moo-hyun was born into a poor family, but he studied on his own and became a lawyer. He devoted his life to helping the weak and fighting for justice. Later, as a politician, he tried to change the corrupt political system and dreamed of creating “a world where people can live with dignity.”

During his presidency, he focused on anti-corruption reforms, balanced regional development, and peace on the Korean Peninsula. In 2007, he held an Inter-Korean Summit to promote peace. He also improved the digital government system to make administration more transparent and efficient.

I admire him because he was honest, humble, and always listened to the people. His life teaches me the importance of fairness, courage, and communication. I want to become a person who helps others and makes society better, just like him

Kim Jung Gi was born in Goyang, Republic of Korea, in 1975. He was reportedly fascinated with comics, animations and film in his childhood.

He studied weapons and military vehicles when he was in mandatory military service in Army, which became a recurring subject in later works. After, he studied Fine Arts and Design at Dong-Eui University in Busan.

In early part of his career, he started as a comic artist and an illustrator, working on advertisement, comics and concept artwork. He collaborated with various artists and writers, the manhwa "Tiger the Long Tail" being one of his early works. His skill grew a lot in this period, and he soon mastered perspective and composition, which later became the reason of his fame.

Kim gained worldwide recognition after videos of him drawing massive panoramic illustrations live began circulating online in the early 2010s. These videos showcased Extreme perspective mastery, Complex scenes drawn with no construction lines, Perfect anatomy and visual storytelling, and Lightning-fast drawing speed. Kim Jung Gi's abilities were supernatural; he reportedly stored massive amounts of visual information in his mind, which he expressed using various 3, 4, or even 5 point perspective in cinematic form, with perfect visual storytelling. He would often say:

"I don’t draw from memory, I draw from what I’ve seen and understood."

Kim Jung Gi taught at AniChanga art school in Seoul and did countless workshops worldwide. He inspired millions of artists with his philosophy that drawing is a trainable skill through observation and intentional visual storage. Artists across comics, animation, film, and gaming cite him as a major influence. His work impacted studios like Marvel, DC, Blizzard, Riot Games, and Ubisoft.

On October 3, 2022, while traveling in Paris for a gallery exhibition, Kim Jung Gi suffered a sudden heart attack at age 47. He passed away shortly after at a hospital. The art world was devastated, tributes poured in from world-famous creators like Jim Lee, Stan Sakai, and Katsuya Terada.

I chose Kim Jung Gi as my Role model, because I want to be a really skilled artist just like him. He taught me that while some skills are innate and born with, those can be mitigated and even surpassed with effort and most importantly, passion that fuels it.

I try to study perspective and draw forms, study them, and re-draw them in various rotations as mental studies, and also learn human anatomy to try to replicate Kim Jung Gi's effort. And mostly, I try very hard to draw daily and not lose passion, trying to at least sketch something in a day.

He was a brilliant shipbuilding engineer and a man of great responsibility.

Through his hard work and innovative ideas, he changed the world and continues to help people through his charitable work. I want to be like him someone who achieves great things in my field and uses that success to contribute to society.
