How your ideas about teaching young learners changed in ant way? If so, how?

The teacher shouldn’t focuse on the sentence but the meaning and taking the feedback indirectly is possible by doing activities. Young learners dont have a reason for learning english so the teachers should encourage them, take their attention and teach the language indirectly. Thanks to today’s experience in class I realised new things and shared them with the others and also experienced them.

procedure to use with L2 children? Why/ Why not?

Yes it is. It may provide opportunities for children to students to expand their reading competencies. Students may enjoy the text and think about the meaning. It provides enjoyable, successful experiences with print for all students. And it is an opportunity for them “to set up together” for challenging texts and to experience it all together.

Yes I agree.

How?

Students need a basic structure to feel safe and to focus on the lesson. But maintaining an enjoyable atmosphere doesnt mean “be friend” with the students. So to create this balancd is challenge for the teacher. Sometimes maybe teachers let their students to choose what to do. And students think that will happen always. For instance if I finish my activity early and have more time, I would ask my students what they want to do. After that in the next class they didnt want to join the activity I brought them. I told them that I cant let them to choose the activity in every classes. This one just was a one kind of example. In addition that to reward acceptable behavior is really effective management and teachers should use it. Teachers should understand what students really need, motivate them, have effective communication skills, make eye contact, be empathic.

1.Yes there are. For instance I can use I could use the

go- round technique to warm up activitiy. It would let everyone enjoy and take their attention. For while section I would use brainstorming technique so everyone sees the creative ideas and experiences the group work. Givin numbers(odds, evens), colors and colourful obj and with them creating a group is a really easy and quick job. And I enjoyed with the multivoting technique too. It gives every one to check their ideas and to join the activity. For the assesment techniques I was really shocked cause I never imagined that an exam can be enjoyable. I realised that my exams never evaluate the childrens knowledge and they are too old and traditional. I am sure I am going to use these new techniques definitely.

2. I am confused for this question

 1. I used to do multiple choice or fill in the blanks exams etc and I thought they very appropriate and when the students get low marks I thought the problem was them. But now I realised that the problem was about my way of avaluating. I carried out my classes with the enjoyable activities but I preffered to do boring and complicated exams. They was no connection between them. I think the exams both can be enjoyable and proper for the current way of assesment. During the classes I usually corrected my students mistakes but it is pointing and emberessing them and didnt realise it. I feel sorry for that now but I am happy that I changed my mind definitely. I am going to focuse on the communication and the meaning not the structure or grammer.

2. I was the monkey somewhere in the middle looking for new techiques, feeling nervous about the results but sometimes feeling on the correct way. But now I am the monkey on the top. I have confidence cause now I know the correct way, I can improve and expand it and I can apply them to my assesment.

1. To take the main idea and apply it took 10 days for me but I hope they will get it for more short time. And also they might want to improve themlselves more and applay this project and come here too. I hope to be an inspiring for them. I changed my way and I am going to improve myself I hope the same for them. And also they will have chance to disscuss their problems and share ideas and to find solutions with the other teachers just as me. This is a really big chance for them. They wont feel isolated and lonely any more.
2. We got and apply the main idea for ten days in here so it became something I used to and then became an habit I think so I am going to remember all of them and solve problems just as it is solved here. The most important thing for me I learnd learning may be enjoyable and easier than I did so I am going to use this idea and apply it to my PDC’s session
