         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Procedure</strong></p><p><strong>1. Defining the population</strong></p><p>The target population is all 10,000 undergraduate students enrolled in the main campus of Universiti Sains</p><p>Malaysia (USM). Every undergraduate student is eligible to participate in the survey.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>2. Choosing your sample size</strong></p><p>Based on the Krejcie and Morgan Table, for a population of 10,000, the recommended sample size at a 95% confidence level is 370 students. We will survey 370 students to ensure her results are statistically valid. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>3. Listing the population</strong></p><p>Obtain a complete and up-to-date list of all 10,000 undergraduate students. This list serves as the sampling frame.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>4. Assigning numbers to cases</strong></p><p>Assign each student a unique number from 1 to 10,000 to ensure every individual</p><p>is identifiable in the sampling frame.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>5. Calculating the sampling interval</strong></p><p>Sampling Interval, k </p><p>= population size/ sample </p><p>= 10000/370</p><p>= 27</p><p>We will select every 27th student</p><p><br></p><p><strong>6. Selecting the first unit</strong></p><p>We will use a random number generator to select the starting point within the range of 1 to 27. The  random number generator picks 3 as the starting point.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>7. Selecting your sample</strong></p><p>Begin at the starting point (3) and select every 27th student from the list:</p><p><br></p><p>First sample (1st) : 3</p><p>Second sample (2nd): 3 + 27 = 30</p><p>Third sample (3rd) : 30 + 27 = 57</p><p>.....</p><p>Final sample (370th): 9963 + 27 = 9990</p><p><br></p><p>Group: Tharshini, Sue May, Vivi, Tina, Lei</p><p><br></p>]]></description>
