Through out the story of Hamlet revenge is shown by Hamlet´s actions and wishes. An example would be when Hamlet found out Claudius killed Old Hamlet. Hamlet ended up killing Claudius the way he killed his dad. Revenge also effects Laertes and Fortinbras. Laertes wishes to avenge Polonius and Ophelia, and Prince Fortinbras wishes to avenge King Fortinbras, killed by King Hamlet.

Hamlet shows the
thematic message that revenge is the start of all the actions that end up changing fate for the characters.

Hamlet shows indecisiveness in the details of his plan for revenge. He questions his timing of when to kill Claudius ,showing his lack of confidence and insecurity. He also shows indecisiveness when he was questioning "To be or not to be". He was struggling with the matter of whether he should suffer through the rest of his live, or if he should end his life, but risk being sent to hell. His indecisiveness correlates with his youth and his inexperience in leadership.

Uncertainty

Hamlet is uncertain as to whether life is worth living or not. He goes back and forth debating the pros and cons of commiting his suicide thus the line "to be or not to be". His religion and devotion to God play a big part in his decision not to kill himself. In the end he makes a decision not to take his life, however this takes a lot of questioning his life and worthiness. The thematic message of uncertainty conveys to the audience when you're thinking of your own life you sometimes make an emotional decision instead of a logical decision. You must always take into consideration other people and things that your decision could affect before you act irrationally.
