They need to know why they are taking the course.&nbsp;<br><br>Within my DTTP, individuals will be learning about Google Apps for Education. The purpose of the training sessions will be to become familiar with using Google Apps with students in grades K-2.&nbsp;<br><br>Objective: By the end of the sessions, participants will be able to use Google Apps for Education with students to provide additional learning opportunities.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In order to make the learning more beneficial for participants, Toister (2014) says it is important to build off of the knowledge that participants come with. This will ensure that time is maximized and that we are not wasting time going over topics that participants already understand and can do efficiently.&nbsp;<br><br>For my DTTP, I will provide participants with a survey to complete. This survey will help me measure each participant's level of proficiency for each of the topics that we will be discussing. This will allow me to create groups and individualized sessions that are meeting each participant at their level of understanding.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In Toister's (2014) opinion, participants should be able to move on throughout the course at their own pace. Once a participant completes one section of the training, they should be able to move on and self-direct.<br><br>In order to incorporate this principle into my DTTP, I will provide an outline for each training session. With the provided outline, participants will be able to move onto the next step as soon as they finish one activity. This will help individuals move at their own pace.&nbsp;<br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>When planning for Professional Development sessions, Toister (2014) explains that it is important to ensure that the content is helping individuals solve a problem that is current. When training is directly aligned to what is being discussed, it helps participants solve a problem.&nbsp;<br><br>This relates directly to the topic of my DTTP. The goal of my DTTP is to provide additional instruction on how to incorporate Google Apps into the classroom. Through this training, teachers will immediately be able to begin integrating Google Apps into their classroom. This is solving a problem because many teachers feel as if they do not have enough knowledge of the technology to incorporate it into their classrooms.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Toister (2014) explains that individuals are determined to learn about a content when it is specific in helping them learn a new skill or technology. When the session provides a general overview of a topic, individuals must then go on their own to find direct applications. It is important to be as specific as possible.&nbsp;<br><br>Within my DTTP, I will be provide specific examples of how to integrate Google Apps into the classroom. Instead of simply providing an overview of Google Apps, I will look at specific applications and programs to provide examples of how to incorporate this technology into the classroom. This will help participants feel more prepared when transferring their knowledge to their students.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>6. Intrinsic Motivation</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>According to Toister (2014), motivation to learn a new skill or technology must come from within. A participant must want to learn something new for them to fully participate in the learning.&nbsp;<br><br>Within my DTTP, I am covering a topic that is not widely used in the primary grades. Currently, Chromebooks are provided to students in grades 3-5. Because the technology is new for primary grade students, teachers are excited to see how our students may benefit from the early exposure. Through my discussions with teachers, they are all willing to try integrating the technology, however they all feel as thought they were not provided with sufficient training to integrate it effectively.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>
