My confidence was rising. 
There's nothing wrong with that. 

Then the words got a bit harder. With words like hear and their.
I understand my basic homonyms. I thought I had nothing to fear. 

The next word that was given, 
I couldn’t believe my ears. 
The word was hippopotamus
My smile turned to tears. 

I knew it began with an H 
and had several letter P's. 
I saw my gram and gramps. 
They were looking straight at me. 

I created a wonderful image.
Of a hippo spelling out his name. 
I spelled the word correctly.
I won this spelling game!
