I reduced the amount of sugar used such that my cupcakes were healthy. However, I did not use enough manipulative skills as I chose too simple a recipe.
2. Reflect on the practical test session
a) were you able to manage time?
I was able to manage my time well, I finished everything within 15 minutes.
b) did you face difficulties? how did you overcome them?
I don't think I face necessarily 'difficulties' but i did have doubts when I was creaming the butter. The butter was very soft by then, and within seconds it seemed to be creamed. However, as the ratio of sugar to butter has a lot more sugar than butter, when adding sugar, the mixture become rather lumpy as the sugar had not yet melted. I was afraid that I had done something wrong. In the end I added a little more milk than usual, hoping to let the sugar dissolve. I also blended faster.
c) how would you have done it differently?
I would have chosen a different recipe, or perhaps i could have done some sort of topping to use my manipulative skills and help in time management.

a) how useful were the nutritional tools?
I think they were very useful as I could learn how to make informed choices for healthy eating 
b) how manageable were the manipulative skills for you?
the manipulative skills were very manageable, I could grasp them easily. i understand how they are extremely important for different types of products and why they are essential.
c) how purposeful were the investigative activities in helping you come up with your final creation?
