         <description><![CDATA[<p>On the first day HR Zenith Miss Atira showed the areas of the hotel and introduced the staff there from various departments including housekeeping, food and beverages, kitchen, office, each floor, and the front office. After that, we split according to our respective departments that have been set by HR. I was given f&amp;b department for 6 weeks. The f&amp;b manager explains a little bit about f&amp;b at zenith hotel. We were told about the f&amp;b operation which is breakfast, lunch, high tea, and dinner as well as the 3 outlets available for the f&amp;b section which are the dinner restaurant, oregano lounge and banquet.</p><p>Things that have been taught and done by me:</p><p><br></p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Clearing the table</p><p>I must clear the table after the guests have finished eating and make sure the table is clean.</p><p><br></p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Setting the table</p><p>The way to set the table at Zenith is different from other hotels by providing a tablespoon and table fork with table napkins.</p><p><br></p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Wiping all the cutleries.</p><p>Wiping cutlery requires hot water so that the cutlery has no germs and no watermark.</p><p><br></p><p>-&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Top-up the brown and white sugar at the table</p><p>How to make a zenith hotel by putting 6 white sugar and 6 brown sugars.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Work done for morning shift workers:</p><p><br></p><p>1) Collect the guest plate from the table.</p><p>- This work is done to prevent the guest table from being too crowded with the plates they use. This is because breakfast is included in their package and breakfast is provided as a buffet where guests will take food by themselves.</p><p><br></p><p>2) Clearing table</p><p>- Every time a guest finishes eating, we have to clear the table and wipe the table so that it is clean and smooth without watermarks. This is because other guests will use the same table to enjoy their breakfast.</p><p><br></p><p>3) Re-setting the table</p><p>- Table re-setting will always be done to provide cutlery to guests. As usual we only provide a spoon and table fork with table napkin. For guests who want to use a knife, they can ask the waiter only.</p><p><br></p><p>4) Clear the buffet.</p><p>- Breakfast closes at 10:30 am. After breakfast is closed, we need to clear all the buffet food as well as the plates and cutlery that are there to be washed. I was in the f&amp;b department and had to bring all the plates and cutlery to the kitchen.</p><p><br></p><p>5) Wiping plates, glasses, and cutlery</p><p>- Usually after washing, we need to wipe all dishes, glasses, and cutlery so that they are cleaner and safer to use.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Daily work for morning shift workers:</p><p><br></p><p>1) Collect the guest plate from the table.</p><p>- The process of collecting plates or other food utensils must always be done to prevent the customer's table from being full. This is because, the buffet food prepared by customers can take as much as possible.</p><p><br></p><p>2) Clearing table</p><p>- After the customer gets up from their place, we as servers have to clean the table for other customers.</p><p><br></p><p>3) Re-setting the table.</p><p>- After cleaning the table, we need to reset the table for the next customer. The setting method is the same as preparing the table and fork spoon with table napkin.</p><p><br></p><p>4) Clear the trolley.</p><p>- The collected plates and cutlery must be placed in the provided trolley and when the trolley is full, we need to push the trolley to the kitchen and clear the trolley.</p><p><br></p><p>5) Wiping cutlery, plates, and glasses</p><p>- After washing, we need to wipe everything until it is clean and if something is still dirty, it needs to be washed again. Then, arrange everything in the designated place.</p><p><br></p><p>6) Double check the table.</p><p>- We need to make sure the table is available with cutlery and clean and enough brown and white sugar on the table.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Activities carried out in the industry:</p><p><br/></p><p>1) Learn how to make coffee with seniors</p><p>- Coffee and espresso have one shot and double shot. To make coffee one shot is usually for hot coffee only while double shot is for iced coffee. Espresso for iced latte needs to add cold full cream milk then add coffee double shot then make milk as a form and the form is only low. For iced cappuccino, you need to add coffee double shot, then add cold full cream milk and make milk as a form, put it a little high or a lot, then put powder.</p><p><br/></p><p>2) Learn how to make fruit juice.</p><p>- For juice extractor juicer blender is used for apples, carrot, orange, and pineapple. The fruit used is enough 3 pieces for a kind of water but for a mix 2 pieces of fruit. Juice blender is used for watermelon only. Every time you make fruit juice, you need to put fruit decorations on the glass according to your creativity.</p><p><br/></p><p>3) Learn how to add black pepper and salt.</p><p>- Each table will be provided with 2 containers of black pepper and salt if guests want to add to their food. We need to add each container to make it easier for guests. To get black pepper and salt we need to take it from the kitchen and make sure each container is full.</p>]]></description>

Then, we need to know which coffee cup should be used for those types of coffee. Types of brew coffee are americano, espresso, cappucino, macchiato, latte and mocha. We have 3 size of coffee cup.</p><p><br/></p><p>2) Take orders</p><p>- Greeting them and giving them a menu book for them to look at and think about what food and drinks they want to order. Then give them 5 minutes to think before taking the order. Write down exactly what they ordered and repeat it again.</p><p><br/></p><p>3) Send the order.</p><p>- Say excuse me then tell them what food and put it in front of the person who ordered.
