School taught me to explore dance and rhythm starting off with simple maneuvers (Shown in artifact 1) such as 'The Hokey Pokey', and then progressing on into a high school with partner dancers and simple versions of the 'Cha-Cha' (As seen in artifact 2). In primary school each class group would perform a piece in front of the school each year and it was quite often a drama piece (Artifact 11) however since performing and watching these plays I have had no experiences with drama since then. In a way i'am disappointed as I found drama a fun outlet and a way express yourself. Due to my lack of drama in my past I would be seen to be situated within the 'Experiencing the Known' stage of Ryan and Healy's table (2008). My very basic knowledge on drama allows me to be able to judge whether or not I like a certain drama act. Listening to music was always a favorite leisure activity of mine from a young age, listening to my favorite song (Artifact 6) has always managed to enhance my mood. Throughout years 7-10 I completed the compulsory music class and that would have to be the furthest extent of musical education, where I learnt to play little bits of guitar and keyboard (Artifact 8). My favorite part about music is creating my own playlist (Artifact 7) for car trips or to listen to while studying and going to live concerts such as Thirsty Merc (Artifact 5). Visual art impacts our day to day life regardless if we want it to or not. Visual arts was most useful to me when I was building things, such as painting skateboards after cutting them down and fixing them (Artifact 9 and 10). Throughout my HSC I used computer Fusion 360 (Artifact 3), to plan and design my woodwork major work. I have previously also used apps such as pic-collage to make digital collages (Artifact 4). By comparing my experiences of media arts with the Ryan and Healy's table of knowledge processes and the arts (2008). I have determined I would be placed in the 'Experiencing the New' section through my exploration of the computer generated art format to design my major work.
