During Code Week, thanks to the coding activities, our students recognized the colors and numbers they had learned before.

Seeds of Tomorrow / Geleceğin Tohumları projesi kapsamında gerçekleştirdiğimiz Mavi Yeşil Vatan temalı yapboz çalışması, öğrencilerimizin problem çözme, görsel algı ve mekânsal düşünme gibi bilişsel becerilerini geliştirirken, aynı zamanda çevresel farkındalıklarını eğlenceli bir yolla artırmayı hedeflemiştir. Bu etkinlik, çocukların iş birliği, odaklanma ve sabır yeteneklerini pekiştirerek, öğrenme sürecini somut ve etkileşimli hale getirmiş; akıllı tahtamız henüz gelmemesine rağmen bilişsel gelişim ve tematik öğrenme hedeflerine ulaşılmasını sağlamıştır.Destek olan velilerimize teşekkür ederim.

As part of the Seeds of Tomorrow project, we developed a Blue Green Homeland-themed puzzle. It aimed to develop our students' cognitive skills, such as problem-solving, visual perception, and spatial thinking, while also increasing their environmental awareness in a fun way. This activity reinforced children's cooperation, focus, and patience, making the learning process tangible and interactive. Although our smart board hadn't yet arrived, it enabled the achievement of cognitive development and thematic learning goals. We thank our parents for their support.

Seeds of Tomorrow projesi kapsamında, Avrupa Kod Haftası’nda biz de Code Week etkinliğine katılıyoruz. Tüm proje ortaklarımız, okullarımız ve öğrencilerimizle eş zamanlı olarak bilgisayarsız kodlama, farkındalık ve ilham atölyeleri, artırılmış gerçeklik deneyimleri, oyun tasarımları ve Code.org gibi platformlarda kodlama etkinlikleri gerçekleştireceğiz. Etkinliklerimizin teması “Mavi, Yeşil ve Vatan” olup, öğrencilerimizin yaratıcılığını, problem çözme becerilerini ve dijital yetkinliklerini geliştirmeyi amaçlıyoruz; böylece kodlama ve teknoloji yoluyla geleceğe ilham vermeyi hedefliyoruz.

As part of the Seeds of Tomorrow project, we are participating in Code Week during European Code Week. We will simultaneously hold computer-free coding, awareness and inspiration workshops, augmented reality experiences, game designs, and coding activities on platforms like Code.org with all our project partners, schools, and students. The theme of our events is "Blue, Green, and Homeland," and we aim to develop our students' creativity, problem-solving skills, and digital competencies, thus inspiring the future through coding and technology.

Yenilik ve Eğitim Teknolojileri Genel Müdürlüğü Dijital Beceriler Daire Başkanlığı koordinesinde gerçekleştirilen Avrupa Kod Haftası (EU Code Week) etkinliklerine bu yıl “Mavi Yeşil Vatan” temasıyla biz de proje ekibimizle katılıyoruz. 💫

👨‍💻We're Coding for the Blue Green Homeland in our SEEDS OF TOMORROW project! 🌍💻

This year, our project team is participating in European Code Week (EU Code Week), organized under the coordination of the Digital Skills Department of the General Directorate of Innovation and Educational Technologies, with the theme "Blue Green Homeland." 💫

Through fun coding, robotics, artificial intelligence, and augmented and virtual reality applications we will organize in our schools, our students will:

🔹 Develop their digital skills,

🔹 Gain sustainable environmental awareness,

🔹 Increase their problem-solving, algorithmic thinking, and creative abilities. 🌊🌿🤖

📍 You can add your events to the map between October 11-26 at https://codeweek.eu using the codes cw25-Iu6Jp, cw25-pyhj0, cw25-P2Mo0, cw19-H40h3, cw25-HUDK1, cw25-5j0ym and receive a Codeweek Certificate of Participation and Excellence by selecting the *TR-CAN-021* Lead Teacher Code. Teachers in different countries can choose and prefer the coordinator in their own country as the lead teacher. After registering on the site, you can create your event by clicking the "Add an Event" button. I created two separate events, one for my school and one for our project. If all our partners participate, and you briefly describe their accomplishments in the REPORTING section after October 26th (we can't get a certificate without reporting), you can receive a certificate of excellence. When writing the codes, you can add all the codes I've written, separated by commas. The final poster is requested, which I'll send. For the event description, you can copy and paste the text I'll send there. For the organization, you'll enter your school's name and address. It's a pretty easy event to create. Once the certificate of excellence arrives, we'll upload it to our project page. Coding is important in Twinning, friends.

Friends, let's have our students do a coding exercise on the theme of the Green and Blue Homeland, as well as coding with the concepts of location and direction. I had them done by artificial intelligence for our partners outside of Turkey. If you can find a coding exercise on this topic in your own country, you can do it. The ones I sent to the group are sufficient for coding week.

You can also do any coding you like in your classroom, outdoors, until October 26th.

Within the project we worked simultaneously on JigsawPlanet a puzzle with the name of the project.Thus, the knowledge about nature and sustainability is strengthened, stimulating the attention, cooperation and creativity of children. Students collaborated internationally in an interactive and fun way.

At the event held on October 21, 2025, our students learned about robotics, created and painted creative designs with a drawing robot, guided the robots using coding commands, and experienced the joy of learning through fun. Our workshop, facilitated by our valued instructor Zerrin Güner Kuytak from STEMCodeLab, taught our students analytical thinking, digital literacy, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. On this meaningful day, where we "discovered the power of code together," we extend our sincere gratitude to our esteemed teacher for creating a learning environment filled with future technology heroes.

As part of Codeweek (European Coding Week), we held a "Green Homeland"-themed coding activity with our students. Our young coders had fun while also reinforcing their love for the environment by combining technology with environmental awareness. 🌿💚

Okul öncesi öğrencilerimizle yer–yön kavramlarını (ileri, geri, sağa, sola) pekiştirmek amacıyla eğlenceli bir kesme–yapıştırma kodlama etkinliği gerçekleştirdik.

Çocuklarımız, yönergeleri takip ederek karakterlerini hedefe ulaştırdı; böylece mantıksal düşünme, dikkat, yönerge takip etme ve el becerilerini geliştirdiler

We conducted a fun cut-and-paste coding activity with our preschool students to reinforce their concepts of location and direction (forward, backward, right, left). Our children followed the instructions and guided their characters to their destinations, thus developing logical thinking, attention, direction-following, and manual skills.

Yıl Cumhuriyet İlkokulu olarak Avrupa Kodlama Haftası’nı (CodeWeek) “Yeşil Vatan İçin Kodluyoruz” temasıyla büyük bir coşku ve heyecanla kutladık. 21 Ekim 2025 tarihinde gerçekleştirdiğimiz etkinlikte öğrencilerimiz robot teknolojilerini yakından tanıdı, çizim robotu ile yaratıcı tasarımlar yaparak boyadı, kodlama komutlarını kullanarak robotları yönlendirdi ve eğlenerek öğrenmenin keyfini yaşadı.
