These days, I’ve been learning many new things and gaining much experience, whether good or bad. At 17, I realized that life is inevitable and we should make the most out of the present before overthinking about the future because the present shapes the future. But I’m writing this letter to you, my future self, to let you know that I’m working hard to achieve the future that I deserve, but I’m also learning to enjoy the moment by spending time with my loved ones, doing the things I want to do, and finding purpose in life.

To be honest, I still don’t know what my passion is. I’m still uncertain about my future career path, but I want to tell you that in this moment, I’m trying to enjoy the moment, explore ventures, and grow and develop as a person.

I hope that by the time you read this, I have a career I thoroughly love and enjoy and a family I love and care about. And lastly, I hope I will be the best version of myself when that time comes.

My objectives in achieving the said objectives:

1. I am currently a Pre-Sci student at AdDU-SHS. I chose this strand because I wanted to become a doctor back then; however, my plans have since changed, and I have realized my true passion, which is to become a prosecutor. I also chose this institution because I believe it will help me develop my leadership abilities and nurture my growth.

2. I will pursue a BA in Psychology at Ateneo de Davao University, intending to use it as a pre-law degree. This course will help me develop a deeper understanding of human behavior and strengthen my analytical thinking skills, which will be beneficial as I pursue a career in law.

3. During my stay at Ateneo de Davao University, I will develop the skills necessary for a pre-law career and enhance my abilities in leadership, analytical thinking, and research skills. I will also learn from my professors, build friendships, and take electives related to law.

4. After I graduate from college, I plan to take a gap year and pursue a corporate job. This opportunity will enable me to explore various fields, gain practical experience, and develop skills that will help me prepare for my future profession.

5. After one year of working in the corporate world, I will proceed to law school at Ateneo de Davao University. During my time in law school, I plan to fully focus on my academics and develop the skills that will equip me to become a successful lawyer. I will also take internships in law firms and government agencies. Hopefully, I will complete law school in four years.

6. I will finish my degree at Ateneo de Davao University and take the Bar Examination to become a licensed lawyer. During this time, I plan to advance my career in the legal field by joining a company where I can train and grow as a paralegal or legal assistant. This experience will enable me to enhance my practical skills and gain a deeper understanding of the legal system's environment. As I advance my career, I aspire to work as a prosecutor, serving the government, and upholding justice and equality.
