Many teachers try to teach from the way they were taught, and that often comes from passive teaching and listening. However, half of the students aren't engaged during this type of learning. These teachers' most efficient teaching should come from content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, and technological knowledge. Therefore, to keep the students engaged and to give them the greatest opportunity to learn, teachers must have a good understanding of the content, understand how to involve the students and engage them into active learning, and do their best to keep up with the latest educational technology. 21st Century Teachers now have more powerful learning tools than ever before, and are beginning to switch from projectors and textbooks to more interactive technology.
