When she really doesn't have to go anymore, she will sit down and look at you with her sad eyes.

Tips:
-Carrots are her favorite treat, so feel free to reward her with one if she's being good
-I always take her to play in the mornings. Letting her release that energy in the morning is super helpful if you have long days like I do.
-Not extremely food motivated. Sometimes she refuses to take kibble while she's walking on campus so it's important to keep her motivated and focused by using your voice
-She's pretty independent most days but when she wants attention, she'll bring a toy over to you to play with her
-She really loves the crate and will go in throughout the day for naps, so leave the crate door open if you're home with her so she can go in and out. She does prefer a blanket or a bed to be in it though.
-Really loves looking out windows so it's great if you have low windows in your apartment. She can lay there for hours (literally) so if you need to get homework done and don't want to be bothered, just sit by a window with her

Age: 10 months

Commands: sit, down, stay, come, whistle recall, place, kennel, ok, touch, out, leave it, whistle feeding, thats enough, under, heel, leave it, wrong, off, inside/outside, stand, busy, let's go.

Eating Schedule:
Breakfast - 2 Cups (8:30-9:00) Often does not eat whole breakfast. (Will sleep as long as you want, but this is when I get up every day)
Dinner - 2 cups (6:00-6:30pm)
Treats - Usually one cup, but whatever is needed.

Busy Schedule:
1. I usually give him breakfast and then take him out for his first busy. Goes 1 & 2. #2 is usually multiple piles. May go once and then start circling again.
2. Goes #2 only twice per day unless he has a lot of activity (for example- if you take him out to romp he will poop!)
3. Goes #2 again around 10-11pm.
4. Take him to busy every hour if he is not settling, but he can go 4 hours when not doing much.
5. Sitters typically tell me he circles & busies very quickly. Is very good at not having accidents on walks, but if you do not let him do his full morning poop he may indicate. Just ask him to sit for 10 seconds and then make him wait until you get to your destination.

Tips:
-Must have leash on in the house and be close to you at all times. Is very trustworthy, BUT Alert barks in the house. Anytime you hear a noise of any kind mark him. If he barks, use Quiet. Is especially sensitive to people coming in the door, so as soon as that happens start treating!!! Once he realizes whoever comes in is a friend he will get very excited so keep him with you and continue treating.
-Leave water bowl out and fill as needed. Make sure to carry a water bottle with you at all times.
-Gets stressed in busy places (especially pup class with lots of dogs!) may not listen to commands first time or make eye contact, but be patient and he will get there.
- Is slightly distracted by skateboards. If there are multiple skateboards, he will get VERY rowdy!! Remove him from the situation and use HVTs.
- Will sometimes stop when he sees other dogs. Give him light tugs to get him going and HVTs.
-Good in crate with me, but may be different with a sitter. I would recommend putting him in the crate 5-10 min before you leave.
-Cannot play with all dogs. Text Cate before taking him to play with someone.
- Does not always take treats..
- He settles well in class. Typically no need for toys.
- Needs to be lured in to vest.
- A loveable, goof that tries very hard and will teach you so much patience (:

He will go #1 and #2 with his first busy of the day. I also still take her to busy after every class.

-recently, has been squatting in several different spots before actually deciding to go.
-likes to pick things up when she busys - watch closely and correct
-will accelerate towards the busy spot when she really gotta go
-Can sometimes be stimulated by walking farther distances across campus. If your class is far, make sure to give her ample time to busy beforehand. (sometimes I stop and busy her halfway if we are walking really far)
-May sometimes sit down and then rise back up into a peeing position. Same with pooping

Things to Know:
-please keep leash on in house until she earns her freedom! I've been told she's jumped on sitter's beds, so by keeping the leash attached to you or nearby you can prevent this. (You can see when she is about to launch)
-if she doesn't respond to her name the first time, do not say it again (she will learn to ignore it). Give her a few seconds to process it and if she still doesn't look at you, make a funny noise or tap her on the head
-before giving her a command, make sure she is paying attention to you. Only say the command once (she knows it!) and give her time to process
-sometimes won't walk so be loud and exciting, she typically loves new people and their new noises
-if she balks, it means she is feeling tension on the leash. Remove all tension and wait for her to start walking again
-not a water hog, so give her constant access to water bowl
-give her lots of opportunities to drink throughout the day when you are out of the house (for ex, both before and after each class)
-use gentle if she is taking treats too roughly
-use quiet if she vocalizes - sometimes happens when you tell her wrong or off and also sometimes for attention (has been vocalizing more with some sitters - be strict/use "Quiet")
-ALWAYS mark for eye contact!!
-use chew bones in class
-give her brown crate mat, blue blanket and Kong tire in crate at night (keep blue blanket folded she uses it as a pillow)
-can be very nippy when greeting people during playtime. Make sure she has access to legal toys so she can greet you with one.
-NO tolerance for jumping on people or furniture. First time, push her down and say "Off." Second time, she goes away. Take her into your room and have quiet time.
-Do not let people pet her on leash (out of vest) unless she is in a sit and making eye contact with you
-She is super smart and will feed off of your mood. If you're in a great mood, then she will be too and vice versa.
-gets the ZOOMIES, loves modified fetch, and always wants you to hold her Benebone for her (will cuddle depending on her mood)
