Here's a little more about me. My husband, Eddy, and I live in Owings Mills and have two dogs, Buckwheat and Jake. We love being outside, so we hike and camp in the summer and ski in the winter. I absolutely love board games, particularly a game with dice called Tensies. I am excited to travel to different cities and teach like-minded educators how to infuse Code.org into their daily curriculum. In my free time (lol) , I enjoy reading, grilling, working on my home, and playing yard games with friends. I have two nephews that I love spending time with as well. I live alone and have no pets. I  enjoy teaching, but have a passion for Special Education. I love integrating fun projects and activities into my instruction like drama, STEAM, and "field trips." Outside of school I love Netflix, reading books, and listening to music on my record player. My favorite people in the world are my mom, my sister, and Zooey Deschanel. ]]> 2019-04-19 20:46:29 UTC https://padlet.com/mbarlow288/ChatsWORTHY/wish/352807970 https://padlet.com/mbarlow288/ChatsWORTHY/wish/355934426 I love Chatsworth!  I have been here now for 11 years and I enjoy coming in everyday!  I started off my career as a theatre major at Towson University.  I have been dancing and performing since the age of 5.  I moved to NYC after college and was successful in NYC on Broadway tours and shows.  I performed at Madison Square Garden and all over.  I moved back home due to injury.  I always knew I wanted to be a teacher.  I went back to school to become a teacher and started my career in Baltimore City.  I worked in the city for 3 years.  I loved it, but had a hard time dealing with the horrible stories and trauma.  I then applied for Baltimore County and was hired at Seneca Elementary.  Where I worked with Verletta White as my principal.  After, 4 years there, I got pregnant and decided it was time to get closer to home.  I interviewed at Chatsworth and was hired on the spot. I have been here ever since. I have only taught 2nd and 3rd grade throughout my career.  I have been teaching for over 20 years now. I love everyday! 
  I also love animals.  I am a huge animal activist and lover.  I rescue animals when I can.  I love cats specifically.  I have 3 of my own and they are my babies.  I am a mom of two girls, Gabby 11, and Cassie 7.  My husband is Eric and he works for Enterprise's Car sales division and an inventory manager.  We just built our dream home in Westminster.  I'm loving every minute.
