The 60's were good and bad times. All these bad things were happening, but people stood up against them. If all those people didn't stand up for things it might be like the 1960's today. Blacks and whites would go to different schools and that would be awful. Now we all go to the same school and sit on buses with each other. Without the 1960's we wouldn't live like we do today

The 1960's were full of revolutionary event, mainly protest to make america better. Some of these protests included black power, gay/lesbian/transgender movement, and the protests on the Vietnam war. People were trying to change what america had done. Several races faced discrimination, and couldn't do simple things like eat at a restaurant or ride a bus. Even their homes were worth less. This changed with a few kindhearted presidents. If the 1960's hadn't had so many protests and revolts, we would live in a very different world.

I think the 1960's had hard times, but some of the times were good. I think people weren't treated with respect, like on their religion, or if they were gay, bi, lesbian, etc.. Martin Luther King made his famous "I have a dream" speech. Without his speech, the world wouldn't be how it is today. Woman's rights were also a problem. I think that the world today is different because of the 1960s. If nobody stood up for what's right, life today may still be like the 1960's.

I think that it was a very important time period in peoples life and many changes had happened, not all of them were good, but it made life what it is today. I think that life now is because of the 1960s, I believe that everyone had problems, and a movement that they believed in, that helped them , but it was a harsh a circuital time that won't be forgotten. people would protest, and people would die just because they didn't agree, for example Martin Luther King, none of it was planned but without this tragic time period nothing would be the same, and yes it would be a sad time, we all know that but it's for the best. I strongly say 1960s wasn't all happy, but Martin Luther King made many people happy and made them feel like they weren't the only ones that thought that. Not everyone had a place, but at least they were getting closer to it.

I think the 1960's was a crucial time period. The 1960's not only had there troubles but also had acts of kindness. Many lives were changed during this period including women's rights and when MLK changed racial inequality. This time period had many of the details that make our world as it is today. This time period won't be forgotten. The Vietnam war also happened during this period. Lives were at stake, people would die just because of what they said. Also there were over 50 racially motivated bombings! There were many wars and protests that started because of someones religion, skin color, etc.

The 1960´s was all about people stating their opinion, standing up for what they feel was right, and being themselves. LGBTQ people got to be who they wanted to be they didn't care what people thought they stood up for what they are and how they live. There was the black power movement and segregation. All black people knew that segregation was a horrible thing and that they deserve all things that white people do, they shouldn't be limited in any way shape or form. The Vietnam war was also going on in the 60's and there was an anti war protest that was a very large protest. People burned their drafting papers because they were against the war. To end that, the 60's was a very monumental, important time The world wouldn't be like it is today without the 60's.

my thoughts on the 60s are good and bad. the bad thoughts are there was not equal race and equality, like if you were black you would be treated differently than white people. my good thoughts were that people stood up for their rights like the black power protest, i liked that because they were standing up for what they thought was right. and the women's protest was my favorite because they were standing up for women's rights.

The 1960s are a decade of change like black power, women rights, and the biggest thing in 1960s was the protest against the Vietnam war. There were a lot of the worst ones were in a city called Watts that left 35 dead, 900 injured and $30 million in damage. Also one of the least important things is that they banned discrimination on sex. By the 1990s there was a large gap between whites and blacks. White people commonly had more money then black people. 1960s is when MLK Jr. made his I have a dream speech. MLK was also assainated in the 60s.

My thought on the 60s is that people had a huge chance to stand up for what they thought was the right thing to do. For example there was the black power movement, womens rights, chicano movement, student movement, and many others. All these movements were of people standing up for something they believed was wrong like Martin Luther King JR. Some poeple would kind of consider a bad period of time because of all the bad things happening with people having bad rights but at the same time it was a good period of time. It was good because if the people like MLK didnt stand up for these things, it could possibly still be going on to this day.

Also the African american stood up for themselves by demanding to be served at a cafe where only white people were aloud to eat and later they started serving African Americans. And the 1960s was where a lot of stuff changed, many laws and rules, a lot of assassinations like martin Luther king, he was assassinated for racial reasons. There was a lot of racial bombings, and to me that seems ridiculous like who would want to live in a world that just because of the color of your skin your automatically a bad or worthless person? so to me it looks like the 1960s kinda sucked.
