Smog is Ozone (O3) that has formed at a ground level from pollutants reacting with the Sun. While Ozone is good in the atmosphere as it protects us from the Sun's harmful rays, Ozone at the ground layer causes many health related problems, and people with breathing problems are especially susceptible to health concerns.

Cars are a major contributor to smog in urban centres. Whenever possible, carpooling will help to reduce the amount of vehicles on the road, thus reducing the amount of carbon emission released. Additionally, urging local governments to invest in public transportation projects, such as buses and bicycles will help to reduce smog.

If we do not try to reduce smog, big and beautiful cities like New York, Paris, or Beijing will become inhabitable. The plants and animals will all die, and everything will be ugly throughout. In order to ensure a safe place for future generations to come, it is imperative that we take action now.
