Rationale: I want students to be able to let me know how they are feeling or their preferences on assignments through polls and exit tickets to help me gain a better understanding of them and help them learn better.

2. Opening learning experiences with moves that gain students’ interest.

Rationale: I want to use resources that the internet offers to vary my openings and engage students right from the start in a variety of ways.

3. Offering choices within the learning experience to honor student preferences. 

Rationale: Offering choice gives students a sense of freedom and responsibility in their learning. It also helps get them motivated and keep them engaged in their learning experiences.

This relates to my second goal because it discusses how to get students engaged. The goal is to gain students interest. When students are interested in what they are learning, they are engaged. Getting students interested and engaged go hand in hand. I think this is a quality source that incorporates  different speakers and tools to help educators as best they can.
