This picture ultimately represents the importance plants have in society. They put oxygen, carbon dioxide, and glucose into the environment; however, in order to produce these necessary elements, they require proper growing conditions. These elements that plant release are vital for the environment to thrive, as wells as, for human kind. This picture illustrates the life humans have to look forward too unless we clean up our act. If plants are not able to survive the increasingly massive carbon footprint we are producing, all life forms will eventually become extinct.

This video explains photosynthesis in a simple and understanding way. He gives details on how photosynthesis works in a way that is easily understandable. The video also breaks down the process and explains the equation of photosynthesis. It even goes into minor detail on how without photosynthesis there would be no oxygen. I chose this video because it is short yet very informational and does a great job at explaining the process of photosynthesis.

The artic tundra is in the greatest danger for ecological change. Human caused errors are the reason for the climate change in the artic tundra. This changes the ecosystem of the tundra to change as and making it harder for wildlife to survive. The artic tundra is changing twice as fast due to humans. More of mankind needs to recognize this before its too late.

This picture shows people of the Neolithic revolution building shelters and having a surplus of food. The picture represents decrease in migration. Social stratification is also depicted in this diagram. It shows the people of the Neolithic revolution building shelter to stay instead of traveling. This picture is also a diagram of the people of this time having a surplus of food. Before the Neolithic revolution there would be no pictures of people building shelters like these, most would have teepee tents since they were easy to travel with. There also wouldn’t be any pictures of surplus food like shown in this diagram with all the fish hanging up. The settlers before the Neolithic revolution would get just enough food to get them to the next destination.

Crop rotation is an innovation from the green revolution. Farmers started to rotate their crops and use legumes; this helped increase the soil fertility. I chose crop rotation cause I think it is the smartest idea to come from the green revolution. This process of crop rotation is very simple yet efficient and has gave farmers better soil ever since.

It also has potential as an anticancer agent. I choose this chemical because it is found in naturally in a variety of trees. This makes it one of the easier chemicals to find and use. Betulinic acid also has many uses and potentially being used to help treat cancer.

I picture the world to look something like this in the future. If we do not change and keep agricultural, economic, social, and political practices go unchecked then there will be no grass or trees left. I chose this picture because it shows cities and sky scrapers but there is no grass or trees left to keep man kind alive. This is what the future holds for us if we continue down the path we are on. We need to stop building big cities and focus more on regrowing forest that have been lost and destroyed. Without trees, grass, and forest there will be no man kind left to enjoy the cities already built.
