Imagine a giant tower made of over 1,000 television screens! Each screen plays a different video, showing a vibrant mix of images from cultures all around the globe.

This artwork has a very special message. By showing so many different videos all at once, Nam June Paik wanted to celebrate cultural diversity. It shows us that there are so many different, beautiful cultures and voices in our world.

At the same time, all these TVs are part of one single tower, which represents global connection. The artist believed that technology could bring us all closer together, like one big global family.

The message is simple but powerful: the more we respect each other's diverse backgrounds and stay connected, the better and more beautiful our world becomes. Just like the artwork! ❤️

Here’s how we did it, step-by-step:

Step 1: Sharing Our Cultures First, we each thought about and shared our own experiences with both Korean culture and various world cultures. We made a list of moments, ideas, and feelings that were important to us.

Step 2: Creating with AI Next, we used a generative AI image tool to bring our ideas to life. Each student created unique scenes that visually represented the cultural experiences they wanted to express.

Step 3: Adding Our Personal Touch To make the images truly our own, we each added our own special character into the scenes we created. This allowed us to express our personal feelings and thoughts about that particular culture or experience.

Step 4: Becoming One Artwork Finally, we gathered all the unique, personalized images from every student in the class. We combined them all together to create the final piece of digital media art—the video you see today!

Through this process, we were able to create our very own "The More, The Better" that celebrates our class's diversity and connection.

Today, I'd like to introduce a very special art activity, which is designing a brand new flag that symbolizes our wonderful friendship between Korea and the Philippines!

Our Mission: Create a "Co-Flag"

First, let's think about our national flags. Have you ever noticed that the Korean flag(Taegeukgi) and the Philippine flag share the same beautiful colors? That's right! We both use red, blue, and white.

• In the Philippine flag, blue represents peace, red stands for courage, and white symbolizes equality. You also have a brilliant golden sun and three stars!

• In the Korean flag, the white background stands for peace and purity. The red and blue circle in the middle, called the 'Taegeuk', represents the balance of the universe.

Use these colors from flags and inspired by them. It will represent our special bond of friendship between us. There is no right or wrong answer. Every flag you design will be a beautiful and unique symbol of our connection!
