He succeeded through nonviolent tactics (boycotts, pickets, and strikes). Cesar Chavez and the union sought recognition of the importance and dignity of all farm workers.Cesar Chavez was like Martin Luther King, however, Cesar Chavez wanted to obtain more rights for farm workers in California. He was also similar to MLK because they both used non-violent ways to protest. Cesar Chavez organized the farm workers so that they can help him.

Marques Young-

Cesar Chavez and Martin Luther King Jr. were two influential leaders who employed nonviolent resistance to fight for civil rights. Chavez, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi and King, used tactics like fasting, boycotting, and marching to advocate for farm workers rights His famous 25-day fast in 1968, for instance, helped to rededicate the movement to nonviolence. King, on the other hand, drew heavily from Gandhi's philosophy of nonviolent resistance, which he applied to the Civil Rights Movement through actions like the Montgomery Bus Boycott and the March on Washington Both leaders demonstrated the power of nonviolent resistance in achieving significant social change.

Cesar Chavez and Martin Luther King Jr. both fought for civil rights in different ways, but their goals were connected. King worked to end racism and segregation, while Chavez fought for farm workers to have better conditions and fair treatment. Many farm workers were people of color, so both leaders were fighting for justice and equality for similar groups. They also believed in using peaceful protests and nonviolence to bring change. Their work showed that civil rights are about more than just race they're also about treating workers fairly and making sure everyone has equal opportunities.

Cesar Chavez and Dr. King had similar passions fighting for freedom, dignity, and humanity. Chavez fought for the rights of farmers and protested against the use of pesticides, as Dr. King fought for the rights of African Americans and protested slavery. Chavez said that Dr. King on that day "..in Memphis, Tennessee. He died while fighting for the rights of sanitation workers." Cesar Chavez used nonviolent resistance, Chavez quoted Dr. King's not advocating for violence and how he stopped a mob. Quote from Cesar Chavez about Dr. King and nonviolent resistance" He learned how to successfully fight hatred and violence with the unstoppable power of nonviolence." This shows that Chavez most likely followed similar practices to Dr. King's protests and ways.
