They look to provide financial assistance to countries that are developing and are expected to improve economic prospects for people in those regions. The U.S. is the largest shareholder in the World Bank and influences its policies and decisions. Lately they have faced many controversies like the criticismks over the impact of its projects on the environment. SOme have argued that these projects lead to displacement and have had effects on the environment as well.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Nafta was signed on December 17, 1992 but the US, Canada and Mexico and officially went into effect on January 1, 1994. It was designed to eliminate tariffs on products traded between these countries which led to the increasing of economic integration of North America. One controversy about the NAFTA was that it had a massive effect on job displacement. The migration that occured was blamed for their lowering wages and reducing standards of living for workers and there were also concerns about environmental degradation. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>GreenPeace is an organization that is focused on addressing global and environmental issues through protecting and conserving the environment. They are known for their direct action, lobbying efforts and the research to achieve its aims. They recently had a protest in June of 2021 where activists targeted a ship in the north sea and this proteast was designed to oppose the continuation of fossil fuel exploration. The result was that they gained significant media and public awareness through direct impact on Shell's operations.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I think the 5 most important rights are the right to equality, right to life, liberty, and personal security, freedom of opinion and information, right to participate in government and in free elections, right to a standard of living adequate for Health and Well-Being. Article 24 which discusses the right to rest and leisure might be seen as unnecessary because it prioritizes economic over social welfare which while some might argue this is desirable it should not be categorized as the same level of rights as some of the other ones.</p>]]></description>
