During this time they had to adapt to the events around them in order to survive

External resource:
- Women during world war two: Because of the many hard labour jobs being left empty, women were needed to further involve themselves in society (not just the main care takers for their family), therefore over time due to this conflict women have been forever shaped in their role in society. Now they are not as inferior to men.
- Child soldiers are forced to join state or non-state armed groups and learn to fight/kill. They group up thinking this is ok and that then shapes them as individuals (negative result of conflict) -> can find a true story

Thesis:
- The conflicts that happen in our lives around us, is what shapes us as individuals
-

Form:
- expository piece

Audience:

At the end of Paradise Road we witness characters from the play rejoice and celebrate with one another. This is an example of how conflict has shaped their experience. Prior to their experiences in the war camp, many characters, Adrienne Pargiter and Daisey 'Margaret' Drummond did not associate due to social classes and racism. However throughout the years of the war they develop a relationship, and once the conflict is over they do not reassume their social roles, they remain friends due to their ability to disregard the social classes that once defined them.

For my external link I'm using a negative way that conflict can shape the behaviours of a survivor.

The psychological affects of conflict such as prisoner of war camps are usually much more devastating than that of the physical conflict that is withstood.

This can be linked to torture victims such as Jeffrey Rignall who was captured by serial killer John Wayne Gacy, a troubled man who sexually abused and tortured at least 33 men and boys. The recounts of these victims could be used in relation to the psychological damage that is inflicted in conflicts such as this. In an account from American newspaper "The Gadsden Times," in 1980, the paper speaks of a trial of JWG, in which a number of defense witnesses were...
