A few school well-being projects- perhaps look at providing a small playbook for adopting Social Connections, SEL, etc.?

Adding something that can explore suicide prevention- suicide intervention policies to reflect that work. Relationship building with school counselors.

Consider clumping some of the Well-Being activities- PBIS, SEL, etc. Some schools appear to be working on all of them at the same time, but call their activities something else. For example "Eagle Pride" or "Husky Pride"

What is the level of support SHIP should be providing when getting teachers trained in things such as MoveMindfully.... we cannot continue to support the funding of this, but how can we encourage further sustainability?

Reduce Health Disparities has a focus on LGBTQ and those with chronic conditions but I dont see other marginalized groups mentioned (ie any student in a non white group).

There is no mention of the words suicide prevention specifically which is surprising. Suicide prevention is such a huge part of school MH system that it would be important to be specific.

We need to call out the words stigma and the suicide since those are two of the biggest topics in communities we work with and communities are concerned about them.

The stigma around Suicide is huge for all communities, but especially in immigrant communities where its not ok to talk about.

If we build systems of awareness around mental health we also need to have supports in place to address and respond to students who are in need. Staff capacity is a huge issue in schools with not enough nurses and counselors. If we screen them we also need to have supports for all students in place to respond, including culturally appropriate resources.

Bullying, especially race base bullying, is alive and well in schools. Bullying has a huge impact on mental health and will completely shape actions, how a student wants to come off, and how others see them.
