Although women do tend to be the victims in abusive relationships it is interesting to see the other side of these statistics in which men can be victims too. Which is something that needs to be brought into light more often, usually men tend to stay silent causing people to fail to see what is really going on behind this facade and Michael was going to as well, but him trying to get the girls to gossip made him reveal things and realize just how toxic his relationship was.

With something like this again it addresses a very serious issue, but in a humorous manner which can make the topic seem less important than it is, but with how many characters there are and seeing the oppositional views you see it as how in society it is really like. People aren’t always going to think the same and like in the show with Michael and Todd not seeing they are the problem and what they are doing wrong you also see others trying to educate them and fight for what is right just like society today.

This is something that borderlines if this would be appropriate to air on television especially without a disclaimer in the beginning to warn people of potential triggers. Though nonetheless, it does educate the audience of the toll drugs can have on an individual’s life and to always keep an eye out for your friends who may be struggling with an addiction. A lot of people may turn blind eyes because they don’t want to deal with it or someone may just be good at covering it up, but there are always signs. The irony of Michael and Dwight essentially being presented with Ryan being an addict, but still not taking note is very relevant to what people do today because of a lack of education on the subject.
